I have two Australian Terriers, they are half-brother and sister. I've had larger breeds of dogs in the past and adored all of them. These two Aussies are amazing. Their breeder only ever bred for temperament and good health so they have been a total delight to train and to live with (she bred the Australian Terrier for 45 years!). If I'd known how wonderful they were as companions, I'd have had them years ago, along with my other dogs. They're companionship is constant, their intelligence astonishing, they're so protective - the female barks immediately to alert me if someone is near me and I am unaware of it - and their hearts are as big as a house! The male pup - nearly one year old - is so affectionate. The female too. One cuddles with paws around my neck, the other with her head snuggled into my shoulder. I cannot recommend the breed highly enough.
I LOVE that you don’t dock the tails! Bodhi turned completely silver he is now 20pounds! I’m pretty sure he has Aussie Terrier in him!! he is so much like a human! I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here! Thank you so much for the video, Bodhi and I really enjoyed it!!
Aussie terriers are fearless!! My Alfie chases kangaroos out of our yard when he sees them! It's hilarious 😀 He thinks he's 10 feet tall and bullet proof! 🇦🇺
I really enjoyed this video!! When I got Bodhi 7years ago, we were told by the breeder that he was a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie but as he grew to be 20 pounds and comp silver, we suspected he might be Silky Terrier. He does EVERYTHING you said about yours!! He is my best friend and my life. He and I are so connected and he goes everywhere with me too!!!
I'm glad you didn't dock your dogs. This is now illegal in Australia. I don't shave my Aussie's tails - I don't like that removing that beautiful plumage is a showing standard. Both of my mine come from Grand Champion bloodlines, but I refuse to show them because I hate that. I also leave their ear hair.
@@InFeedVideocould be although he is about 7 lbs and has shorter muzzle than Silkies. Here he is. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-golnsGGMZ2U.html
From those videos looks like a classic Silky Terrier. Here is my video documenting the breed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5F7UM-t597s.html
@@InFeedVideo yes they look alot like his mom, his mom is all blonde but bigger than Owen, about 9 lbs and his brother was bigger than average yorkies as well. Owen is smaller.
I love this video! Is there a link to buy your book? I'm so glad you're not docking, and I also found my forever breed in the Aussie. Our first dog Chewee we were told was a Chihuahua-Yorkie, and we got a call when our second was rescued in Berkeley, California by Wren Yorkie Rescue because he looked much like Chewee. His name was Timid Timmy but he was lured by a bitch in heat so we renamed him Rico Suave and Chewee took him right in. When Chewee passed in November 2019, I was looking online and came across the Australian Terrier and realized it completely describes Rico in appearance and demeanor! Here he is as a pup but I'll try to share recent pics where you'll really see it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EKKjr1JbZXs.html
