Keep up the good work! Every great artist has to start somewhere. I see a lot of people laughing in the comments and talking about their edge-ups, but PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT 💁🏾♀️ They could be out here being destructive, but they're putting their energy into doing their own dreads and experimenting with different cuts, colors, and styles. 👑🤝💇🏽♂️
your hair line is to important not to take it to professionals. i thought about giving myself a tapier but after this im good. ill wait till the shops open back up
His hair looked better when he was begging for a dollar no hate but freeformed locs look better. Natural locs are not to be separated but whatever looks are more important
I Used to look at your videos for tips on doing my own shape up, and I randomly came across this, it’s been at least a year or two, and I love that you and your male friends to do this for each other, and I especially love that you have taken your process for learning about hair to the next level
Hi! Hairdresser here. I specialize in locs. The form of retwisting in this video is actually called insta locs or insta locking. Many many people refuse to do it because it’s so tedious. I love this! ❤️❤️
I stopped separating and retwisting and my hair has never been so healthy. I use just aloe as a shampoo and rinse with distilled water once biweekly. Good video fellas.
My partner has extremely long dreads and after seeing how well I’ve maintained mine he finally caved and asked me to do the same to his, his new growth was about the same and boi was it a mission, a long few hours but it came out so beautifully, where he was so excited to finally feel his scalp😂now I maintain his dreads regularly to avoid freeform cause he doesn’t like freeform. Great job Gunther🙌🏻
positive feedback on the high top fade, it needs more blending because the guide line is too visible from the back and the right side of his head but keep up the grind and practice 🏴
Is it ? I’m confused on the hype of shyt but I’m on month five of flat looking mats an looking a hot mess I didn’t think it would be this hard letting hair do it’s own thing I’m so fed up with the dredgossiploc and bias BS talk behind color and culture and what’s better how you should with your type of hair like dam I thought it was about hair doing it’s own thang and found that was foolish thinking sheeeeeeeeeeeesh
I know exactly what you're going through. Lol. I went through the same thing a month ago or so. Luckily my gf saved me. I slipped as well. Had congos and wicks. And now I'm right back to wolfing. Lol. But I'm having her do it tomorrow so hopefully I let her do it so it will be done for the holidays.
I wasn't sure at the end, and then when you tied tied back i was like "ooooh i really like that!". Thanks for the video definitely subscribed and following. Need to learn to re-twist on my own.
I started my dreads on January 19 2020 and I use Jamaican mango and lime but I didn’t know you used it too so that’s pretty cool that a famous RU-vid that has dreads actually uses something you can get from Sally’s instead of expensive products it’s online
In my opinion his hair looked better without the two strand twist. Edit: just figured out those are braids still dont look good tho thx to @Jahvyne Ent
“This a million views” 2.4 million views later. Awesome man! U inspired me so much. I just did my best friends dreads and my brothers. So damn awesome man! I love goin back to your old videos still! 🤘🏼🖤
The phrase Dreads is not a derogatory term, and it hasn’t been for decades. It’s been reclaimed imo. Bc most ppl didn’t even know it ever meant something bad until recently where ppl have been speaking about it. But I think the goal of reclaiming a word is the fact that it’s used so much in regular language amongst ppl with the hairstyle, that the general public never knew it originated in a negative way. So for me I’m still proud to say I love dread locs.
@@Aqwtiny Everyone's hair is different. Try what works for you. Water is always a good first choice. Also, Taliah Waajid tight hold is good. SuperGro African formula is another option. You want to use water based gels. Blessings to you on your loc journey!💛💪🏾🌻
Just watching this from Sydney NSW. I’m about 4 months in my dreadlocks from 2yrs grown out long hair, one month late of a relock😅. I use that gel that you mentioned including the shampoo. Maintenance is a workout but watching this clip gave me reassurance to keep my dreadlocks and to relock asap. Also had to pull out my dreads because it was pree much like this guys. Overall great video bro
