My wife and I went to Tokyo Disney Sea for the first time a week ago and this show ruined all Disney shows for me. It was so perfect and wonderful. Truly the best Disney show EVER and I would happily defend that claim. The precision of the dancers, LIVE/REAL ORCHESTRA and the singers was on par with something I have seen in New York or even surpassed that. Anyone who considers themselves a Disney fan needs to skip Disneyland or WDW, save up and go to Tokyo Disney Sea
I can confirm this is as true as can be! This was the last place I went to when I went to DisneySea. AND OH MY LORD this makes my YEAR. It was hands down THE BEST BAND I have ever witnessed in my life ever LIVE (considering I live in asian country where you can't even find this kind of music). I feel very lucky to have Big Band Beat as my closing tour on DisneySea. I do hope I can enjoy their performance live again!
For real? Were you in the show? I went to Disney Sea in December 2017 as a treat for the kids, but I wasn't expecting the musical show to be **the best live performance I have ever seen, across any genre**. Musicians, singer, dancers all absolutely amazing. A great show. If anyone ever asks me what the best live band I've seen is, I look them dead in the eyes and say "Tokyo SeaWorld Big Band Beat". Sorry Japanese audiences are not very enthusiastic but I was sat at the back clapping like a mad man.
I've seen Big band beat in 2015 but never seen the 15 anniversary big band version. GOing to TDR again this year in July so will they still be doing the 15th year version because i want to see goofy in this show.
We saw big band beat this afternoon. It was awesome. My girlfriend and I got into an argument about whether or not Mickey is really drumming. Does anyone know the answer!?!
I have a *little* experience with drums and I was watching very very carefully. I am 99% sure he is really playing. If he isn't then he is doing such a perfect job timing it then he might as well be (and can you imagine how hard that is for the cast member with all that stuff in the way?) Actually I was never a big fan of Mickey Mouse (Family trip for the kids really), and I know this sounds ridiculous, but seeing "Mickey" drum, has made me like him a lot more. It's funny because when I went to Tokyo Sea, Goofy was doing the main entrance meet and greet. When he saw me, a westerner, amongst all the Japanese/Chinese guests he made a real beeline for me and gave me a big hug. He instantly became my favorite Disney character, and I still feel the same. It's funny how the decision of one cast member affected my perception so much. ..oh wow this comment is too long... TLDR Yes he is.
