@@theraven268 Normally I would agree but in comparison to some of the other figures I have such as cap or Thor our panther they tend to be a bit taller than my Spider-Man figures with those bucks so I can fudge his height a little for my collection, but I can see your pov
Really it’s about what looks right to your collection. If you feel like Spider-Man should be a few inches taller there are a few fingers for that and if you feel Spider-Man should be a little shorter, there’s figures for that too.
I really like this figure! I haven't received mine yet, but your review gets me even more excited! He easily wins the crouching contest, as his head will actually tilt upward more on his neck! Great review, man!
Which is why I personally don't mind the ball hinge neck joint, though a lot of folks dislike it. I'm pleased that I have this Spidey and I'm likely to pick up the upcoming cell shaded retro one too
Very interesting figure! It has that toyish thing going on yet the proportions are less toyish and more natural despite the greater articulation. Don't understand why the red under the shoulders are used. Still searching for the symbiote in store. Great review!
It's hard to describe the feeling, but it does feel fun to play with, despite the webbing attachments falling out a bit too easily while posing the arms. And yes the red armpits are distracting. Hope u're able to hunt down your Spideys soon
It’s a nice figure what I don’t understand is they go to all the trouble of making him pinless so what’s up with the red pins in the underarm shoulder pins it so lazy it never cease’s to amaze me how they always seem to drop the ball
Great review! Disappointed to see the neck hinge on this figure, as you showed that it really limits being able to tilt the head sideways (making him less expressive). Not to mention this arguably outdated hinge design makes it impossible to look to the side then up, which is surprisingly necessary especially when you want him looking a certain way when wall crawling It also sucks that this body doesn’t carry over the drop down hips, nor do we get the toe hinges While I like this body’s bigger shoulders compared to the Renew Your Vows version, I have to say that two pack one still looks like the superior Spidey of the two and the one I’m trying to track down as Hasbro’s definitive version.
If you're looking for one definitive Spidey figure, then yes, renew your vows wins, no contest. I could be biased towards Spidey figures, But if u have space for another, then this is a fun one to have as well. I do intend to pick up the retro carded cell shaded one too
@@stepanlenk not 100% sure if they’re the same hips as the Retro Spidey, but on my retro Spidey the drop downs are helpful for getting the leg up and around for crawling and crouching poses without scraping the hip against the lower torso piece. I’ve seen videos of this Amazing Fantasy Spidey where the hip gets some scratching when you move it up and around. I’ve also experienced that on my other Hasbro Spider-Man figures that don’t have the drop down.
@@SpoonDude Try to see how far the legs go to the side and compare it to any recent Sunfire buck like Human torch or Cyborg-Spidey. Also try to have the retro body look up 😒 That body has major posing issues.
The toy biz versions webs are more accurate to the Steve ditko drawing of amazing fantasy. They are closer and more web lines. Though. And slimer like it supposed to be. But both figures got very good features. But I like this new Spiderman better. It has a more advanced articulations. And a bit more muscular . And that's sells to me. I think his torso is shorter because it's based on a much younger Peter Parker . And shorter. In height too . Because of it . But that's just my opinions.about the figures . but I like this new Spiderman figure. I Can't not wait to get mines from Amazon .I got a few coming Nice review Brother . 👍🏻
always awesome to watch these videos i love this spidey but he just seems too small... maybe it is me? then again this is the first appearance, that old marvel legends first ap spidey was the first spidey marvel legend i purchased, glad to see an update! i love the spidey sense head on this new first ap spidey!
Dude, always appreciative when u like my videos (no expectations though!). I'm used to Peter Parker being a regular human who got ripped after a spider bite (with no growth spurt), so the height works
Ooh I want this figure because I'm afraid that my 2015 Spider-Man figure is going to break on me and I know $33.00 to $35.00 sucks, To me I still will find a way to get him because Spider-Man was my first character that I was introduced too, Great review Xcorpeo.
I find the stretched webbing attachments are poorly designed. I finally gave up on trying to get them positioned to look right and just attached the collapsed webbing.
I think the head looks more John Romita sr than Steve Ditko, but still a cool looking Spidey. The fact the body is smaller than the other figs makes sense as he was only 15 years old when he became spidey. I think the Renew Your Vows Spidey is the best so far. He pulls off the crouch the best because of his toe articulation, which this fig ought to have.
The eyes on this one are clearly the Jack Kirby eyes as inked by Ditko on the cover of AF #15. I wish the figure itself had the bulk Spidey had on that cover.
im in the US but i just got this guy from over seas for $40 + 20 shipping so it came out to like $61. id rather pay the extra money over seas for the shipping than to pay a scalper extra money
Why is it that for everything Hasbro does right, they do something’s so wrong! Those giant red parts on the hips should be painted black… 🤦🏼♂️Aesthetically it’s too much red. Compared to the Retro/Vintage that’s the only part that looks so bad on this figure
