Lost my mother, she used to hum this too me when I was a child, whenever I was troubled and needed some comfort. I was 27 when I found out she was in hospice care due to cancer. I was stationed in Afghanistan and was given three weeks leave to come see her. She was barely conscious when I arrived, a music therapist came by the house, and I asked if she knew this song, I was able to hold her while she sang the song..My leave ran out and I was forced to get on a plane to head back into hell..I was getting onto my connection flight in Chicago, when I saw a rep from the red cross walking towards me, I already knew that he was going to tell me she just died..I later found out she asked for me before she passed and I missed out on having that last talk with her by about an hour...I like to listen to this song to remember her..

Beautiful ‘ear candy,’ by two beautiful Irish lasses, singing the most beautiful, and possibly the most popular song ever; if not, it should be👩🏻🏫👩🏻🏫
It's very hard to add to the fitting words of Michael Triba posted a day ago. Here in the USA, I find that the beauty of this song resounds within the message of its simple yet powerful lyrics for all lost hearts in need of grace in such troubled times as these. So wonderfully sung and performed by Emer and Affiniti. May those who hear be blessed in the assurance of Christ's sacrifice for all to be saved who trust in Him. Thank you Emer and Affiniti for this beautiful message for the whole world as we approach this Advent season of the birth of Jesus who gave a repentant slave ship Captain, John Newton, this amazing grace in which to give his testimony in the lyrics you deliver to us today. Amazing Grace, indeed, for all. God Bless.
@@solochristo65 Wonderful to see you actually notice my two-year old comment here. So, to add something extra for you here, consider this short comment on John Newton's love for a very sick friend who became distraught, if not outright insane. Newton's friend, hymn writer, John Cowpers (pronounced Coopers) was severely depressed thinking he had committed the unpardonable sin and thus placed beyond grace of Christ's forgiveness, as it were. Newton never gave up on his friend and essentially loved him back to sanity. A hymn Cowpers wrote as a result of his recovery is "There is a Fountain Filled with Blood." This wonderful hymn has the line after the title lyric of " ... drawn from Emmanuel's veins; and sinners plunged beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains (of sin)." Cowpers recovery is a testament to true friendship and love of a fellow believer. Praise God for John Newton who fully lived the truth of that very hymn by Cowper.
Hands down Lucy thank you kindly for the many ways you have joined the righteous of our Lord to make this planet better than the way we found it . 1 million Thanks (MIL Gracias my Friend )
Watched this, several times. It was great to finally hear all three of you sing. This is a beautiful church and your voices blend together and fill it with such a beautiful harmony. Love This! 💓 💓 💓 💓
Amazing video. I always marvel how empty churches give such a warmth and richness to music. Something with the acoustics that is just brilliant. I love it.

Your performance of "Amazing Grace" is amazing. I hope that by listening to you sing, that I might capture some of the soulful beauty and transfer it to my bagpipes. Thank you, thank you.
This is absolutely stunning. This time last year, i saw your video of 'O Holy Night' and was stunned by the 3 of you. This is equally as good. It will be played every day over Christmas. Thank you. Pat Mac Callion
