Just sharing my love for hurdy gurdy with you, and maybe also my love for gospel music. That's why I think this is not just a hurdy gurdy, but a holy gurdy :)
The luthier of this gurdy is Marco Gamarra. I know you crankers where trying to solve that mystery, right?! By playing this song I was trying out the dynamics that weren't on my previous gurdy.

I have been thinking about ordering this Alto model from Marco. I am not yet sure how I want it configured. Any recommendations! Also, how long did you have to wait to receive your gurdy after the order was placed. Thanks!

Hi! What an awesome plan 😃 I recorded this song right after I got the gurdy by mail. (After only 10 months) I'm practicing on it for weeks now and getting to know the instrument more and more. I always wanted a gurdy that's not so loud (well, it can be) but you can play soft melodies with dynamics on this instrument. I have the basic setup. 2-2-2 with three capos: one on every trompette and one on the drone, I would definitely recommend that if you are playing with other people. It gives you more flexibility to play in different keys. Good luck with the hardest choice of your life 😎
