I definitely like the idea of showing the interior of the RV first. In my case, the interior is what will make all the difference in what I will purchase. I can always make do with whatever outside/storage exists.

This is what we have with the legacy package. We purchased and received last September. Legacy is great, as it adds the disc brakes, which brings more safety, electric reel for power cord, nicer end cap on back, and the electronic Bluetooth control panel. We pull with a 2017 F350 dually, and it pulls like a dream. We added the generator, and it has an inverter with 5 outlets that run off inverted power, and is solar prepped. We also added the washer and dryer. We are holding off on the solar - so far, we haven’t had a need. This is our home - full time, and we both work, staying approximately 4 weeks at each location. We use the mid as an office and have no need for bunks. So it was a better mid option. We made some modifications to add a second office space. It works for us, and we even have some empty shelf space - so plenty of room for us and our pup.

Great that the Control Panel has its own Cabinet. I think the Mid-bunk room is cool just the way it is. With the Desk and all. That room could be used as an Office. Really convenient to me. Thanks.

As someone who only watches because I enjoy looking at the different floor plans and all that, I say keep it as it was. I like the build up of hearing about the numbers and the outside features. To me, seeing the inside first kind of ruins the video for me because I'm only going to watch the first minute or so and then go elsewhere. I don't know how the RU-vid algorithm is as far as monetary videos and the amount of time someone needs to watch to count as a view, so that could be something else to take into consideration from my point of view. Either way, beautiful fifth wheel here. The Montana's never seem to disappoint.

As an owner of both a high county version Montana and now a new Montana, I was surprised by your comment you didn’t like the High country. From actual ownership experience, the HC version has lot of the Montana DNA and is almost identical except for high end Montana features, and use of electric versus hydraulic slides, and not quite as fancy inside. The HC is priced much lower and is an affordable entry level luxury trailer. I liked both of them! If on a budget, the HC version is a great value.

Yes, they need a much better loft ladder!! I wish they had an option for no loft and lots more storage in the bunk room. You could use a step ladder. Or use those pull out trays in the loft opening to the bedroom and enclose the loft. Then you would have usable storage. Half could go into the bedroom and half to the kitchen. I know, too high. But i could use a good step ladder and i have no knees. We just need to keep coming up with new out of the box ideas . Every RV is identical so few consider a different approach. Well some do, like you. I know, production changes cost, but let's say you just have one traditional and one very different line. Have the unique one as an option and see what else comes of it in the new ideas it stimulates. Since so many older folks use them, why not have options to make RVing easier? Hand railings in the bath; easier ways to use steps...it is definitely much better than 3 years ago when i first started looking. There were horror stories of falls and injuries from even cupboard and drawer handles! Some never had their first trip, they were so badly injured falling from steps. I have been injured and bruised by poorly engineered handles, bunks, and even injured, cut, on the murphy bed. If i had small bouncy kids, wow! I see some islands that make me wince as i see grandkids with nasty head injuries and grandparents so upset feeling guilt. I had a daughter that never missed an opportunity to be injured. She was so energetic, we put a jungle gymn in her bedroom! We cut slats out of her crib so she could slide out, but no she insisted on climbing over and crashing to the floor! She was just a baby! There are adults with not much body sense either...me... so engineers need to understand the person injured by forgetting an edge or awkward step could be one of their own family. It is not easy if you haven't had toddlers or older folks in your life, i know. Engineers are practical point A to point B people. But some humans are more like pinballs, right? 😅 They really complicate a simple plan!

In our early 21 Montana 3781RL Legacy the valances doesn't interfere with the dining chair. I have replaced the 2 awful bathroom faucets with a little taller and longer reach faucets. The new format is fine. However, I would have preferred to see the "numbers" as soon as you transitioned to the outside of the unit. Also, with the mid-bunk design, I like your floorplan where you enter from the side so that you do not give up any cabinetry or storage in the kitchen.

I would love to make a laundry room/pantry/coffee bar in the mid bunk. A laundry room for a full time couple would be great. In the bedroom, the framing around the tv prevents an upgrade in the size of the tv.

FIRST: Do the numbers. It tells me in the back of my mind *IF* this is something I can tow. Then work your way outside to inside. Since you're already outside might as well just do the outside. As you walk around explaining and showing this and this and this, I envision what it would look like at a campground or boondock site. I see myself under the awnings watching the game on a TV or cooking from the outside kitchen. Then I'd go to the inside and do what you do best. It gives the viewer a movie, if you will, of walking around outside and then going indoors.

JD, what is your opinion on Azdel vs. Lauan ? This unit is nice but I would like to see the entry into the bonus room in the hallway and have more cabinet space in the kitchen. I love the Montana product! I had one with a sunken kitchen. Best feature ever. The kitchen layout was Awesome. I like your idea with mind bunk door on the entry side so you can have more storage space. Also, more storage space instead of longer desk for my usage. If I needed it for an office then the bigger desk is definitely better. I also personally have no use for the bunk above the 'bunk house'. No kids. Love the outdoor kitchen.

Thank you. Yes, change entry to extra room. And find a way for a real wardrobe closet and storage ...smaller desk is a pain, however, you could have a tv type fold up table when needed. We have a tiny cabin, and we use them for dining, crafting and desk for the computer. I REALLY do not like that bathroom sink! I am constantly cleaning up water around our cabin and RV sinks! The RV simply has no way NOT to have water running and spilling no matter how hard I try. I even put a dam of paper towels or hand towel around the sink because water runs onto the floor every time! So then you have wet towels all of the time creating a moisture issue. I keep 2-3 dri it containers in this tiny bathroom! Our cabin bathroom is so unfinished, it has lots of air flow, but not the RV, of course. I bet the whole world wishes for a better designed bathroom sink and counter with an edge and another drain, and a pop-up sign that says, "Wipe it up!" How about a moisture sensor on the counter and floor. It locks the door until they are wiped dry 😲😂

At a certain point, these mid-bunk interiors become repetitive variations on a theme. I won’t stop watching, as I do enjoy any of the reviews. It’s just not my thing. Great room with slideout, kitchen with too few cabinets, midbunk, loft, bathroom, front bedroom with bed in slideout, two air conditioners, outside entertaining area, large front passthrough with wet bay, axles and tires that usually aren’t quite rated to the GVWR, MSRP about $100k. It’s the same recipe most times.

I have never liked this midbunk layout. Limited cabinet space and limited counter space.

The little worthless 'night stands'. What can you even put on that, a watch? Isn't even room for your glasses. make the closet shallower and give us some damned room by the bed!

I subscribe for three things and three things only: 1) "What's goin' on guys?! 2) The GVWR opening and truck recommendation. 3) Valance talk. This terrible video only had valance talk. Unwatchable. Left my wife and sold my travel trailer. Ha ha video was fine. Prefer the usual order though.
