Mate, good to see your on the mend and back in the surf🐟That was a cracking session. I've never seen so many jewies caught off the beach like that before 👍One thing i find really handy is i carry a short piece of PVC pipe about 2ft - 60cm long that allows just the fishing rod butt to slide into. Drill a hole near the top and put a short nylon rope through it and carry around your neck. Or a clip onto to your bait bucket belt. It frees up your hands handling a fish when walking down the beach. Quickly jam in the sand upright. Put the rod butt in. Just the few minutes you need when unhooking fish. And protects the rod butt from sea water. Yeah, a top video and good content. He's a good wingman that young Brandon 😀

Excellent day's fishing and well done on all the releasing, but just a heads up, try not placing your fingers in the gills if you intend releasing them as they are sensitive and easily damaged.

You should rename your channel to the ghost hunter! I've been trying for over a year and still haven't gotten one yet. I even drove up to Stockton from Sydney for a 4 day fishing trip and absolutely nothing.
If I was just targeting Jewfish that would be a great name for a channel. Keep studying my videos about Beach fishing and other guys channels who are chasing Jewfish off the Beach. There is a lot of information out there and remember never give up. Tight lines Dave 👍
Can you help me out I'm a bit confused. I'm here in nsw and people tell me jew fish feed more at night time here and they say in western Australia day time. I'm not a big fan of night fushing is this right?
You can catch them really early in the morning and late afternoon and if we have had some rain and the water is dirty you can catch them all day. If caughtbpkenty if Jewish in the day give it a shot 👊
Im down the coast in wollongong and never ever have i ever had a jew session like that ,down here my experience is that most of the time they come on the bite for about 30mins once a tide if ya lucky very lucky you get 2 fish,thats a awesome spot fellas

No your teaching and reenforcing techniques with a person who does not have a lot of experience fighting bigger fish on the Beach. Exactly what my beach fishing mentor would do for me when I was learning to fight larger fish on the beach.
In some parts of Australia they are called Mulloway on the East Coast of Australia we call them Jewish its because of a bone in the back of their head they looks like a Jewel some people would collect them. It has nothing to go with the Jewish people
Last 3rd of the run up tide Dave? I've set my sights on a 25 kg plus mulloway off the beach as a major goal, and after shattering my favourite graphite FSU 5162 on a solid bronzie - I now subscribe to the Brandon school of beach fishing - 25 kg rod, 50 lb braid, & 50 lb leader. Fun fun fun ! Haven't lowered myself to grapnel sinkers though. 10/0 circles are unbelievable for both live baits and squid - I don't use J hooks anymore. Great for flake-sized bronzies as well as mulloway and cause minimal damage for better release of bycatch.
There’s something on the fish which I forgot that some fishers like to eat or something. And they called it a jewel. Hence the name jewfish. Should be jewel fish but because us Aussies hate saying the whole word, it became jewfish
Look up the Aussie name for a luderick. As a kid I had an exceptionally good and highly prized Jarvis Walker Black Queen, known as the best n#**%r rod around.
😂😂😂 In the travelling season we would always be out the Breakwater watching for the mullet chasing Jewfish and you would hear guys say all day long seen any n#**%s with em 😂😂
I would characterizes Brandon as a humble fisherman legend par excellance. He is not interested in drasticly reducing a Jewy's survival by skull and gill dragging them around the beach for a seemingly forever out of water, selfy-a-thon and a brag mat extravaganza or gas bagging to a camera. He just catches fish and let's em go without the bigger than star wars who har. Like true blue Aussie fishermen used to be, that is before the internet stairway to stardom.
