Delta A320 late night arrival at Dallas including some sightseeing:) Flight DL1711 from Hartsfield--Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Every subscription is appreciated:)
As a kid, flying into DFW at night felt absolutely magical. It's one of my most vivid childhood memories. I honestly never thought I'd get to see this again, much less remember how it felt. Thank you.
Th 1st flight I ever took left Cincinnati at 805pm nonstop to Dallas 45 years ago Just for curiosity’s sake I checked it out the other day and American Airlines has still got it on
I never tire of landing back home, from a tiring vacation, welcomed by the never-ending expansive sea of lights. It's such a sight, that even nearby passengers from other cities comment on it.
I live there and once made a night flight from Miami. It's lit up brightly when you walk in downtown Dallas but I didn't know it was that bright from above! And on that same flight, someone about 10 rows in front had a heart attack! Fortunately, they were able to land the plane a bit early so the paramedics could treat him. If you wonder how they took the passenger off, the paramedics brought in a stretcher that can be tilted on one side. They wheeled him off the plane almost standing up. They used three straps to hold him to the stretcher.
Mquads- From a vicarious viewpoint, this is an extremely well-presented experience, .. the video, the audio, ... 'put me right there'. Thanks for sharing!
First night time landing I have watched.. very impressed by the PIC...he did a great job.. Dallas very lit up for 10:49 can't wait to land there myself...
Looks like the 17C apporach. One of these is pretty thrilling as you split the hotels right off the north end of Hwy 114. Maybe it's 17L, but great video. You should do the "skyline tour" in a GA airplane if you get a chance it's pretty nice.
I applaud you for at least mentioning MY Hometown of Fort Worth---the official name of our Regional Airport is "Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport," but even though American Airlines is based in FORT WORTH, most all flight attendants and pilots for them, don't know where their company is based. I ask them routinely after the flight, and they all look puzzled, and answer "Dallas." WRONG. Even though you flew from Atlanta, from the East to D/FW, Fort Worth wasn't shown, and it has a beautiful Downtown as well--safer than Dallas, and more activities. Anyway, thank you for at least including "Fort Worth" in your title. Neat video of Dallas at night!
Fort Worth people have such an inferiority complex. I was born in Fort Worth, spent my childhood in Dallas, then my adolescent years were in Fort Worth. Dallas is much bigger than Fort Worth so people refer to the area as Dallas, just like people refer to Anaheim as LA and St Paul as Minneapolis. Also, Dallas/Fort Worth isn't a regional airport; it's an international airport. And if you fly in from Atlanta you won't often fly over downtown Fort Worth directly. I've made that flight many times and only went over Fort Worth once during peak hours when the plane had to wait for landing clearance.
I appreciate your effort. I just wish it was one continuous video instead of being chopped up. I realize if it wasn't split up the video would've been long. Dallas looks beautiful though I hate the Cowboys. LOL
You're arriving at Dallas-FORT WORTH......you placed FW in the title, but then in the description, you eliminated it. Just keeping it fair to Fort Worth. People who fly to Dallas Love Field, are in that city.......but D/FW is half and half---NOT Dallas. Just for the record.
