In this video, the guys in the body shop give this 77 Ferrari 308 GTB a new color change. The owner didn't want to go with the old boring Ferrari Red, he instead chose a killer looking Stryker Red which is a newer Dodge Viper color.
watching the process of the prep and repaint I was thinking I wasn't liking that candy colour much but then seeing the finished result, well I totally change my mind, ..it looks spectacular!! ...Lesson...don't judge a work of art until it is completed!!
I do auto collision for a living, i surely understand all the hours and hard work to make that one sexy Ferrari!!! love the color, just beautiful!!! nice work guys!!
Where are you guys located in case I decide to do the very same thing on a 328? I'm in So. Cal. but I would not use just any body shop. We have one on every corner.
It's really all about maintaining a balanced diet, getting a good stretch in, and making sure you get a good night's sleep the night before. That and some creative editing, and you wouldn't believe what you can accomplish in 10 minutes!
Looks great. After going to all that time and effort, why wouldn’t you get rid of the US side marker lights. It has Euro bumpers so it would complete the look.
I have this color to repaint my Spy-Racing quad, if it comes out anything like this color I will be well chuffed. What was the reaction of your customer?
Definitely better looking than the stock Ferrari red. Certainly not a cheap paint job, and in my opinion, the GTB looks better and is more desirable than the GTS, specially in the quatrovalvoe version. Once it evolvec into the GTO, and later models, it lost some beatuty. Great job indeed.
OK, the body and paint work are obviously first class. I just don't get a couple of owner decisions. Why would you pick a candy color for a track car? It's going to get destroyed and it's going to be much harder to blend and match repairs later. I hope this color choice indicates they are done beating the crap out of that car. Number two, why go for a "factory finish" on a color that Ferrari obviously never put on a car? If you're going to bother with that quality of paint job, let them sand and buff to a mirror finish. I just don't get it.
The paint job made all the little details it needs pop out at you. Tail lights need to be replaced or freshened up some how, definitely needs a new set of wheels, a larger replica of the original wheels it came with not those ugly corvette stock looking wheels it rolls on. Install a bigger brakes from a newer model and make those big calipers pop out through the wheels. Freshen up all the black trim. That will keep it from looking dated.
You know what bothers me more than those ugly wheels? Those giant side marker lights! With the amount of work that was done to this car, they should have been shaved.
Very nicely done. Few people appreciate how much work there is to get a result like this. Particularly on an older Ferrari that requires a lot of panel correction to make the finished paint job look straight.
OMG you knocked it out of the ballpark. That car is absolutely gorgeous. What a great job. I look forward to watching more of your videos. I definitely gave you a thumbs up and hit the subscribe button also.
Looking at the before photos it looks like he might take the car on the track with all the front paint chipping at the nose of the car. With a new beautiful paint job are they going to put on some 3M clear paint protection film on the front of the car.
Absolutely stunning paint job and suits the car so well. The 288 gto and 308 are probably the most quintessentially beautiful ferrari ever made, shame I can't afford one
Awesome paintjob. Beautiful color and masterfully laid on the car. Just don't tell the owners that the color doesnt suit the car... and the wheels are wrong. Hell I'd take it anyways :-)
