@@antecboy Nobody cares about electrical input when it comes to a laser. The only metric that matters is what comes out. So when a machine is advertised as 130 Watts, that's what people expect the output to be.

@@antecboy Not true.. The 130W is a "CO2 laser equivalent power". That means it has a strenght of 130W CO2 laser, give or take. If it was 130W input power, then 110W would be lost/dissipated as heat. And that is a lot of heat, it would just burn itself.

Kind of scummy to clickbait a 20w laser as a "130w laser" because the whole machine uses that power for motors and air assist. Suddenly makes sense that this "130w laser" can barely cut aluminum foil thickness metal.

what settings are you using to cut 10mm plywood?? im using speed of 5 power 100% and im barely getting through 3/16 in plywood. i have the Atomstack A20 Pro using Lightburn

Max input of module 24 volt 3,5 A . so this module will also work with ortur lasermaster 2 pro because its output is also 24volt .

it is a 20w laser , 80- 100 wart are some REALLY high power c02 lasers or fiber optic lasers that (in the latter case can cut metal, not 10mm wood

Saying it's a 130W is so misleading. It's not the optical power, only the power it draws. It has 4x5.5W led, so with the mirror loss, it's more about a 20W laser(which is great!). If only they had better cable management

Just a heads up. The customer service from this company is not the greatest. I recently purchased this machine and have noticed quite a few imperfections and scratches on the machine. It appears to have been previously assembled as their was anodized aluminum in the screw threads, adjacent scratches on the control box and the back of the screen, flat spots on the wheels, and the limit switches were installed. Also the top cap on the laser prevents it from sliding all the way down to the workpiece. I purchased their rotary axis as well. This came with a busted nob. The companies solution is to send me new screws, wheels, and belts. And to tell me that the damages were a result of customs going through the box.

Buenos días, tengo una maquina atomstack x20, resulta que desde ayer cuando la pongo a hacer cualquier trabajo el laser a los 5 minutos se detiene, o bien se apaga o bien queda encendido pero no sigue su trabajo y hay que apagarla. No es un problema de suspensión de la pc ya que esta deshabilitado, que otro problema puede ser? porque me arruina todo ya que debo apagarla . En grbl el error que aparece es unespectreset. muchas gracias

Also it looks like some kind of very soft ply, 5ply at 12mm isn't strong ply. Probably poplar or a balsa ply. Try it with 12mm birch and post results.

@@sccsuk They often use Paulownia plywood which is a bit denser than balsa, so it makes for impressive videos. I suspect this would choke badly on 5mm birch ply.

Hey, I try to cut 6mm Plywood and it does not work. I tried settings up to 95% / 100mm/min Speed. It does not cut with 4 passes. Have the X20 Pro, the focus is right, Air assist is on.

I was also wondering about the speed as all has been speeded up in the very. Not a true reflection. From the specs I read that it does 12000mm/min. At least show one cut at normal speed. I have seen some of these cutters generating a lot of smoke when cutting wood.

Diode laser won't cut clear acrylic. It will cut opaque acrylic. Even the 10w diode with 50 w machine the x7 pro will cut 3 mm opaque acrylic. You will need co2 laser for cutting clear acrylic.

What type of plywood is this? And at what settings did you use? I've been trying for the past three days to vut through a 1/4" sande plywood from Home Depot, and it tries, but it burns it. I've tried tests upon tests, and it is inconsistent. Then, I tried a 1/4" MDF with the 5mm and 8mm reference settings, and it couldn't cut through that either. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?

This Atomstack uses 130W of electricity to output 20W of optical laser power. Other manufacturers claim higher wattages, but only output 5W or 10W of optical laser power. A 50W Co2 laser is considerably stronger and much faster than a diode laser at cutting and engraving, but a Co2 laser also takes up a much larger footprint and costs a lot more to purchase and operate.

you can use with photoresist and the chemical etching only. The fiber laser 20+ watt (better 50 watt) can ablate the copper from circuit boards. The problem is that the laser evaporate the metal and it condense on the board around, so you'll require to remove a mass of copper dust to avoid the leakage or the short cirсuit.

Highly misleading title. This is NOT an "Amazing...130w laser"! This is a 20 watt laser cutter. The machine as a whole consumes up to 130 watts, but only 20 watts of that total represents the laser output.

Never with a diode based laser. Only way to really cut clear acrylic is with a saw or CO2 laser (big glass tube), if a laser engraver/cutter has a small box for the laser instead of a large glass tube and liquid cooling, it cannot cut acrylic.

20 Watt laser power. They say 130 watts for the machine which I assume is the overall power required to run the computer, electronics, cooling fan, motors, etc.
