At the beginning of this video, there was a huge rock jammed against the bridge shelf which prevented the dirt from filling the void beneath the shelf. The result is a big cavity beneath the shelf and that cannot be considered good building practice. Also, wouldn't good design work require compacted earth around the bride itself?

Couldn't keep watching, this is the worst job I have ever seen for backfilling a concrete abutment. No compaction, not building the roadway with finish width slopes, big rocks against concrete. And as someone else mentioned there will be built in speed bumps. Sure is a click bait title when you said an amazing powerful bulldozer, one of the smallest dozers manufactured. This is an uneducated operation at best.
@@madisonbullock2337 The layers are much too thick for the rain to give it compaction. It will take a number of years of rain and settlement for it to stop settling. Have seen fills with proper compaction, every 8 ", and then over 6 months settle another inch. Have seen ledge fills settle more than two inches over 6 months. How much do you think the video fills will sink without proper compaction?

I have done this for 50 years. if you have proper compaction maybe 2 foot lifts at a time with a proper large campactor might be okay but this is ridiculous. so much wrong to even get into this. it seems so backwards to go thru all the work and not compact this when its the easiest part to do. embankment will also fail and wash away due to poorly constructed sides.

That ground around the bridge edge is going to sink overtime without a good compaction furthermore a wall should be built to contain and preserve the fillings along the bridge edge - Just my 2 cents worth.
WITH ROAD BUILDIGN LIKE THIS .... AFTER EVER LOAD I T IS SUPOSE TOB E PACKED DOWN BY A HEAVY PACKING UNIT .. TO MAKE THE BASE EVEN STRONGER ... WITH OUT IT ALL OF THIS DIRT IS ALL A WASTE FOR IT CAN GO AWAY IN HEAVEY RAINS AND STROMS...
