It was the technical challenge that prompted Stefan Koch to set up a model of the Gallia. By chance he was able to buy a model replica of the ship's engine from former Escher-Wyss employees from an estate. He made the machine built for the showcase suitable for remote control and built the ship around it, so to speak. To do this, he needed copies of the original plans, which he was ultimately able to obtain with some effort. He measured details of the ship on site and took over 300 photos. In the end, hours and hours of work followed to set up the 2.55 meter long, 60 centimeter wide and 45 kilogram heavy passenger ship on a scale of 1:25 for the 100th anniversary of Gallia 2013 and bring it into the water. On request, the horn of the prototype or the alphorn sounds from the alphorn blowers standing on the deck can be heard via a sound module.
