I believe I've put this in the freezer before, and it was fine. You just want to let it get back to room temp and pat off any condensation before remelting or adding back into the container. 👍
i love it, because when i use other silicone to make my mold, sometime i didn't like the result, and i lost the material, or sometime when i make some mold, when is time to make the cut, i didn't see the right place to cut, and when i make my duplique, the figurine look so bad. but thanks so much for your tutorial. what store is carrying that product?
Quite honestly, I haven't yet, decided. Just something small. I bought the stuff over a year ago, can't remember why. LOL! Perhaps, I just take a look at resin. I just never looked into it before, afraid I would end up making a sticky mess.
Plaster can be fun. They usually sell two part silicone mold putty at craft stores. (I have a video on that, too) Resin can be fun, depending on the kind you buy. (Some brands can be finicky when it's raining or humid - check the reviews) You have two part and uv cured one parts. If you figure out what you want to make, and need more help, just let me know!
Most of it is unusable at this point, unless you can find the one part resin that air cures. Almost impossible to find anymore. You could try using the uv resin and curing it in sunlight on a mild day?

+Anderson luna Hi again Anderson! Personally, I've never made soap, but my understanding is it gets pretty hot? If so, this probably won't work. What are you trying to make a mold of?
You best bet is a portable silicone mold. I have a video here on the channel, or you can check out videos by silpak or brick in the yard for a more extensive walk through if you're making them in mass. Good luck! 👍
MakerHigh I have no idea why lol. I tell other people to smell it, and some can't stand it like me, and others can't find anything wrong with the smell. I always have to use a mask or something to filter the smell...Also, any ideas on how to get a ridiculous amount of bubbles out?
While I agree with you that SmoothOn is an awesome company with some fantastic products, this is part of a mold making series I did to try to get newbies into mold making. This is way less intimating than the two part silicone, and a cheaper way to see if you'll enjoy it. Also, not all SmoothOn products are food safe. Some people also don't have ready access to it. You can buy it on Amazon, but I've gotten product that's been on the shelf too long, and doesn't cure. I go to the shop and stock up when I'm down in LA, but not everyone has that luxury. You could do chocolate in the spoon mold for a fancy desert, but really, the video is just an example of how it works and compares to the other mold making materials.
