Thanks both, we watched half of your visit to Stratford last night and will catch up on the rest later today. Did you make it to Great Yarmouth? ATB, Dave & Helen
@Caravantastic we did go to Yarmouth yes . We parked up near a school down side street for the night .Had a walk on the beach and dogs had a swim . We are heading towards York next for the Vanlove fest . Hope you guys are OK xx
Hi Dave, well you certainly did a fantastic cleaning job with the Silky dry and shine. Think we may have to give this a try. A great review of a very good product, thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony x
Hi Perrin & Marilyn, thank you so much for watching. You won't be disappointed if you give it a go. Click the link in the description if you do (good price). Cheers, Dave & Helen.
Hi Dave. Hope your well mate. Great product 👌 I've still got to do a review on the products they sent me. We've now got the Swift, so we will be doing that really soon. Thanks again, Dave. great video as usual. Cheers Paul and Sarah
Great video thanks. I tried the link to see what the price was, came up as £9:16, not a bad price I thought. Then it added vat £1:83 - are companies still advertising items without the vat? thought this practice was long gone. Then of course p&p £4:00, so from £9:16 the total price becomes £14.99. To me it does seem a little on the expensive side, others may disagree. Please keep up the blogs as they are very interesting.
Hi Dave, as always thanks very much for watching, always appreciated and thanks for your comment. Not certain but normally when dealing direct with a supplier (not retailer) then they advertise a nett (wholesale price) plus vat & delivery. I have seen the product on Amazon at £16.99 but also on eBay at £14.99 which I think is probably about the average price. Have to say, it's my favourite cleaning product at the moment. Take care and thanks again. Dave & Helen
Hi Dave, Really brings up the shine but I’m dubious about the dirt building up on the cloth and eventually causing fine scratches as you go along 🤔 . On another note about the caravan club not allowing people to wash their caravans - I would prefer to see clean caravans on a site as it would make the site look more respectable. I’ve also been in that situation a few times leaving home with a clean car and caravan and arriving covered in dirt. I carry a bucket and wash shampoo 😁. Cheers, Rob 😀
Love your style Rob! Where there's a will, there's a way lol. I also agree with your point ref: 'dirty cloth'. Dry & Shine is a great detailer, to use after a dirty caravan as had a pre wash, it adds a great shine and really useful for getting to bits that need a little more or were missed during the wash but I've found it really useful on site, mainly front and back to clear light dirt/dust away. I also agree, clean caravans on site make the place look better. Thanks as always, Dave
Hi Dave thanks for this it's very informative as per usual... like you I love to just maintain a clean van by removing road dirt etc. and this looks a great product... I've been mixing some Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler with water in a spray container then spraying, wiping with a wet shammy leather then drying with a clean micro fibre cloth... this seems to work a treat as well. Keep your videos coming, the adventures and the info ones they're all really well done and enjoyable... cheers 👍
Hi Dave, really appreciate your comment. Interesting how you have used the Bobby Dazzler, well done, great idea. Fenwicks was the only cleaner I had used until Silky sent me some products to try and I haven't looked back. Glad you like and support the channel, catch you on the next one, Cheers, Dave & Helen
Hi Dave so this works the same as waterless wax meaning you can clean a vehicle without rinsing with water that isnt too dirty all over like grit from the road etc. but just use on dust and odd marks from dead flies etc. It certainly looks lovely and shiny. My brand new van has sat on our drive 3 weeks collecting pollen off nearby hedges and general dust as we havnt used it yet due to a slipped disc in my back its so frustrating just staring at the van 😁 always follow your videos. Keep up the good help for newbies like me. 😊
Hi there Sally, sorry to hear about your slipped disc. I’ve had one so understand your frustrations. Hope you are able to get out and about before too long. This product is ideal for just getting the shine back on your van without the full on wash & wax. Take care, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Dave. Ive used Silky cream cleaner for 40 yrars and it is s brilliant product from an excellent manufacturer. However I still feel that you initially need lots of water to wash off the fine grit and dust be shampooing the van. Otherwise I cannot see how this and other dry products don't leave fine scratch marks especially on perspex windows.
Hi Dave, thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment. This product is especially useful to use as a detailer and use in addition to a normal wash & wax. I’ve found it to be really good to use on site when the van is lightly soiled/dusty from a trip but I do agree, a dirty van needs a wash first. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Gary, thanks for watching, be interested to hear how you get on with it (let me know). I haven’t tried the Kampa tip yet, but I will give it a go. Cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
You are as bad as me for maintaining the caravan, I've now bought some silky to do the same to mine😊 I've found that the yellow spray bottle solvent free elbow grease is superb for black streaks aswell as everything else.
It's strange that I wash the caravan and the car before heading away and when we get to the destination and I get more annoyed about the state of the caravan than the car , not sure why that is... I'll give that dry cleaner a go.❤️🇬🇧🇺🇦
I know what you mean 😊 I do t think you’re alone either, don’t see many people trying to wash their cars on a pitch!! Thanks for watching, I love the dry & shine and take it every where with me. ATB Dave & Helen 👍
If you watch regularly then you will know that we publish a video every Thursday at 4:30pm this extra was a review on a Sunday which from our perspective is highly unusual, this might be the 2nd one we’ve ever done but there will be more! The great thing is, you don’t have to watch them but have a great day. 👍
