Lyudmila Mikhailovna Pavlichenko. Hero of the Soviet Union (1943). After the end of the Great Patriotic War until 1956, she served as an officer of the Main (in 1950-1953 - Naval General) Headquarters of the Navy of the USSR with the rank of major of the coastal service. During the siege of Crimea in the spring of 1942, Pavlichenko served in Sevastopol in the garrison of the Crimean Front and killed more than 300 enemy soldiers. After that, she was invited by US President Franklin Roosevelt to a gala reception to speak to members of Congress.
