So you draw the sunburst motive on a metal panel, cut it out - and then reweld it together? How do you cater for the strips in between the plates, which you obviously discard? You keep the individual plates in their original position - so why don't you just weld a line on the plate in a starburst? Do you weld the plates on another plate?
