What is amazing about this video is that the publisher should think it was amazing! It's simply primitive and highly dangerous mass production. It is interesting in tax it demonstrates bare-bones production and illustrates why most civilised countries have such stringent safety rules.
And bearing in mind parts are from annealed steel without hardening at all you can imagine how many indents are on them. And any indent on seating inner diameter for gear hobbing machine greatly affects sprocket gear crown eccentrity.
Yup, for example, it can be progressive stamping from sheet steel into semi-finished article before hobbing. The technic in this video is very traditional.
Really very Skilled Person's at work, Hat's off for your entire team, Keep it up Bro, Grab more techniques and God Bless you all Love from Agra Uttar Pradesh Suneel Kanda
Trabajando sin guantes y sin seguridad. Trabajadores buenos y eficientes.
One of the machines had "Rockford, Illinois" (USA) on it.But many times, people do not follow the safety instruction if it means production would be slower.
I don’t usually feel the things these videos show are too dangerous. But the machine at 2:00 literally made me look away thinking he was going to lose a finger! He has more skills/courage than I do to work that machine.
I worked in manufacturing for 30 years, even with all the safety guards , people still get injured. I was lucky to retire with all ten fingers. What I find interesting is I did not see one set of calipers or quality check, if one tolerance is off that's a lot of defective parts. I do like these videos.
Indeed it should, else fixing holes will be loosened, seating diameter can become offcentric due to any slight indentation. And that's not the end of the story, after volume heat-treatment up to 40-45 HRC it should be surface hardened up to max possible extreme, something around 70 HRC if we are speaking about nitridating....but common, are we discussing some state of the art sprocket for top-notch brand like Honda or Yamaha, made to sustain and endure? No, we're looking at some inexpensive expendable for local third world market.
@@yuriy82-69 There are many extremely cheap way of harden heat-treatment even it's third world market. So common bro, do you know how " very soon" I meant if it's not heat treated? Therefore, there must be heat-treatment but not put in this video.
Well this info will soon slip from my mind, I'm eighty, but I did find it very interesting how these sprockets are made. Before seeing the video and without machine shop experience, I would have assumed much more individual attention to each sprocket. The biggest surprise was the cutting of the sprocket teeth in that worm like configuration. Nice video, thx! and another thing I wanted to mention was...agh.........oh forget about it, it slipped my mind.
Wow, I am used to work in German security standards, so I really get sick at some of this processes. Some are so incredible slow, but really dangeruse, too. Thanks for showing that
It's a pitty that the starting stock is structural steel instead of at least carbon steel and there is no heat treatment at the end meaning that these sprockets will only last for a short period of time.
