Got the gizzard shad version and caught my 1st Largemouth on it today. Just crank it nice and slow and it leaves a nice v wake. It worked great and it never gets old watching them blow up on a lure!
Thanks for the information! I just got two kayaks… One for my wife and one for me. Can’t wait to try out the fishing. I enjoy watching from Central Texas!
Thanks for watching Kevin. Sounds like good family fun! I hope you both enjoy it and I hope me sharing these catches, tips, and tricks helps you put more fish in the boat too!
Fine video. I used a wake bait last week on the central Texas coast and had 19 speckled trout on a single wade in 2-3’ of water. Tremendous search bait, and along with hard subsurface twitch baits, have replaced spoons entirely in my Wade boxes.
Love your videos brother. Gotta say the quality of content you put out is top notch. It's easy to tell you put in a lot of time and effort to make these videos happen. It's all much appreciated. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your kind words and thoughtfulness! They do take a long time to create. I’m trying to focus more on quality than quantity and on trying to get better at film making and story telling, all of which helps with the length of time it takes. The good news is that the channel is growing with thoughtful and appreciative subscribers like you. So, thanks again for your kind words!
Hey man just leaving this comment Incase you forgot my name by the time you got off the water. It was super cool seeing you out there also filming. We should collaborate one of these days. If your up for it I’d love to take you out on my boat sometime to catch some of those adult tarpon at Bings landing
This would be a sick collaboration 👀 even if it wasn’t tarpon. Just seeing two content creators who fish different coasts come together and share knowledge and tactics would be awesome.
@@karmaclan486 yea I agree. I’d enjoy doing that. Met him today on the water just randomly he’s a great dude I definitely wouldn’t mind doing some Videos with him on both coasts to help our audiences kind of learn more about each coast
Hi Andreas. Great to meet you out there. So you brought the boat over here from the west coast of FL! Wow, I hope you had a nice trip. Right now I'm being careful with this virus, but one of these days we'll collab. Let's keep in touch.
@@KayakFishingAddict totally understandable. Definitely will stay in touch and maybe when everything cools off a bit we can plan some trips 👍🏼. I’m located in Gainesville so I usually go west coast because it’s a little closer to me. Definitely a different fishery from Bings landing and palm coast but they also have their similarities. The trip today wasn’t very eventful but it was nice to get out to film and fish for a little bit. Hope your trip was solid today!
Hi Rob. Thanks for the idea! The closest I have right now is this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iNvnp5uNOeE.html which covers my GoPro and Audio setup. I'm still learning as much as I can in these areas too!
dude nice reds! you proved the nay sayers wrong again... lol love the production of your stuff, man... very well edited and put together. the thunder clap at the end was hilarious... God bless!!!
Thanks. It really is a great bait! Oh, and I'm glad you stuck around to see the thunder/lightning bolt...I wonder how many will see that :). It was a sight to see! And I'm glad I was off the water!!!
Thanks for the video... I've got several wake baits but always fail to use them when I go to saltwater. I've been intending to but just haven't yet. I think next time I go I dedicate some time to that instead of the zara spook.
Please drop back by and comment on how they worked for you! Oh, and if they're easier to throw than the spook!! I use standard topwater baits like the spook jr too but as I allude to in the description, I'm rethinking that after fishing this one.
@@KayakFishingAddict I'll definately let you know how it works. I've used them in fresh water and they do not cast as easy, especially in any wind, but it's not that difficult.
Thanks…glad you enjoyed it! I haven’t used it without the lav mic. It’d be a little too bulky, especially with the dead cat on it…..the wind is horrendous sometimes and so things like that are necessary. Nope, I didn’t eat at captain’s…. too busy driving home in the rain!
@@KayakFishingAddict Sorry I put the wrong finger on the keyboard hahaha But if it is excellent bait ... One of my biggest Redfish caught it with Yozuri Wake Bait
Hi Logan. I tied a rope cord to the yak stick and found a clip from something in the garage on the other end. I use the track eyelets off of my gear page ( gear.KayakFishingAddict.com ) and clip the clip to that. I have one on either side so I can clip to either side depending on how I want to park in a given current.
The specific wake bait I used in this video is the... Strike King KVD 2.5 Natural Shad ○ Amazon - amzn.to/3BC7gch (affiliate) ○ Discount Tackle - bit.ly/3x2Nzaf (affiliate)
