Another great trade! I’m gonna be honest, the 91 X-Men Lee series issue 1, even though there are over 8 million copies out there, literally anytime I see any of the 5 covers below $5 I grab them, I have a longbox of literally just that comic. It’s one of the few that no matter how many I own, if I see it digging through bins, its gonna result in a big smile and a purchase. Absolutely loveeeeeee that book!

Yup, that was a $5 Star Wars #2. I had no idea it was such a big deal when I picked it up. And yeah, the X-Men book was up on my wall for YEARS but in a corner that no light hits so it was safe. I love the art on that cover, man.

Any Jim Lee cover is a " key" in my book. Nice pickups from your cousin and the fan. I don't know if the "value" adds up monetarily or not, but it's clear you got some books you really wanted in exchange for something you weren't as attached to, and in the end, that's what matters most. Plus, trading is pretty cool as opposed to just buying everything.

I got that brother Voodoo for a dollar about 2 years ago.. it's in beautiful shape the only problem is a mouse chewed a little bit of the bottom of the book.. I didn't even know what it was when I bought it I just liked the cover..

Wish I had known you were willing to trade that Brother Voodoo comic. I'm sure I live in the same general area and could have made a similar or better offer, including newsstand copies (save one issue) of Secret Wars II. :) Granted, I would not have parted with my Uncanny/Gambit or X-Men/Omega Red issues.

Man, does that guy need anything else? You probably doubled him up on that one if not more. Those X books would have probably covered a Brother Voodoo 1st in 7.5-8.0 by themselves.

The Empire is a good book but not going anywhere the 300 dollar range. The book is selling for 30 to 150 depending on seller and grade. And what they ask does not make this book that expensive

Great haul James! I just got interested into collecting single issues and been enjoying catching up on your videos. I have an overflowing bookshelf of trades, started on that 8 years ago getting into reading. 2 questions from a newbie. When you say get something to a 3rd party presser, where are you doing that and any reason why not have CGC press it if getting graded anyway? 2nd is I don't see it worth the CGC subscription for my little to no volume of sending books in. Might do one here and there. I have found some websites you can send a book and they will do it for you with press for like $50-60. Wondering if you have any recommendations to a place that does that service. Also just want to acknowledge the 'Cuse hat. I grew up outside Syracuse. Sadly I see you're an Eagles fan and I'm a Giants fan, but life goes on lol. Live in TN now though. Keep up the great content!
