History found and a visit to the police.. from 3yrs ago, I'm catching up... and on the round up Glen shows a brush that he wasn't sure about, well I'm 69, and my dad was a steam crane driver in the 50s-60s at Preston dock, and I used to go to work with him in the holidays and sit in the crane with him, and he had a massive (to an 8 year old kid) grease tub for lubing up all the moving parts of the crane, and the bogey the crane pulled behind it. In the tub was a brush exactly like that one, being round, it was perfect for getting round the cogs and drive gear, holding more grease than a flat brush would have. So I don't recall where he found it, but if it was near a railway line, it could have come from an engine, and dropped off into the canal. Hi William, Over 60 now, all ww2 also including grenades bombs amd bullets.

Bless you dave, We have just moved on to be honest as we want to Tey other ways of history hunting. There's 7 people in peakys and 8 plus in Northants and it's alot of people on one bridge to magnet fish. No haste towards any of them We just made a gap. Please feel free to come across and watch us

The gold ring that was found was found on the river bank, not by the magnet

It was just a one off busy main road unfortunately. I can't afford mics for everyone plus the editing would be a nightmare lol. The next load of locations are in a more quiet area
