Triangular enamel dish, was used in the corner of a Belfast sink, when chopping vegetables my grandmother used to put all the skins in there before taking them to the bin
i think the guns and swords were from a collector who died and a relatives that hated the weapons trow them in water i think you have to check the samurai swords for markings that are under the handle
This is my hometown, I saw you guys on the bridge! When my great uncle was alive he always said that when the war was over the soldiers threw their weapons in there, it’s a treasure trove, I bet there is a lot more to be found, love your videos! Hopefully see some more soon 👍
One other thing that arrow pointer thingy Nigel found may be off a WW1 tank. I seem to remember they had some form of visual signaling to other tanks as it was very noisy inside. Not had chance to research just something that I thought of while watching.
The wires off the front hub of the bicycle are probably for powering the (non battery) lights on the bicycle. Had a similar set up on a bicycle back in the 60s
Honey hole of amazing historical artifacts!! Video of the year!! Omg, I am overjoyed that the Peakys were able to find such beautiful important artifacts from different world wars. Love to all, I am very proud of everyone ❤️ 💕 💜 💗
I am flabbergasted! I watch lots of “Magnet Fishing”, but your haul is out of this world. It’s like the END of the WAR and everyone went to that bridge and threw all their weapons. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I see the Peaky's had a very impressive day ,,, Marie , Kindly tell Nigel I like his 1800s tea pot very much Now it's time to go back and fish the other side of the bridge to find some more good stuff Thanks Marie ,,, For this great video
I'm a fisherman/angler and i really do appreciate everything you do. I've lost a lot of moneys worth of tackle on rivers and canals from the crap idiots throw in rivers, especially bikes and trolleys. Thank you.
Bless you, Thanks for your kind words, we have gotta have had 100s of tonnes out over 6 years of magnet fishing, this involves trolleys ,bikes , and rubbish that can be a snag hazard. I thrive for the future of our waterways and at the same time looking for old treasures.
MindBLOWING haul lads!!! Great one! Some of you should become members of a shooting range or club, so you would be able to keep some of those Nice Old guns💯And legal permits
Well done for your service to the nation for the clear up, thanks for the entertainment, and all fishermen should also thank you for the clear up! Great fun to watch 😊
At the 6:00 mark, it was either a round or a load, depending on where you come from, as the cartridge appeared to be intact. Straight after that, was a soldering iron, not a hammer! At 17:16 the Luger, more than likely was NOT from WW2 years. First manufactured in 1898 so could easily have been WW1 swag. Officers often carried their father's or even grandfather's service weapon in WW2.
What a day, everyone had something from this pull absolutely stunning, I wonder how much more there is yet to show itself from there, and Mr Fox’s Teapot is a real stunner.
Guys I've watched 100s of hours of magnet fishing this year.. and by a mile this hour I've just watched of your days finds is by far the best I've ever seen.. just wow🤯🤯 I'm texting mates telling them you need to see these guys latest video.. I'll not lie I'm well jealous now and can't wait to get a day out with the magnet.. keep it up guys your the best in the business by a mile🔥🔥🔥💚💚
Tony your words are amazing, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video mate and believe me next week is just as good. It's the people like you is the reason we do what we do so we can share the excitement, stay safe mate and we send good luck for your magnet fishing
@PeakyDippers I'm going to watch it again guys it's honestly the best I've ever seen.. got me more then excited 💯💯 can't wait for the next one guys and thanks for sharing 💚🔥🔥
. 6:20- That is not a hammer but a specific type of soldering iron. They still currently use that style in Pakistan to re-manufacture batteries for vehicles. Depending on the age, heated in a forge or with a blow lamp. 7:30- Beautiful old French Bayonet. . The number of pistols and rifles was incredible! I have to wonder if it was somebodys collection. That is one killer tea pot!!! If you remove the handles from the Samurai Swords there will be a makers mark on the tang. The Tsubas alone may be worth thousands of dollars, as they are quite a collectable. I do hope you were able to keep the old flintlock weapons and the swords. That is a really memorial day for all.
The "copper hammer" that Kirsty found looks more like a soldering iron used for soldering sheet metal. It would have been heated up in a flame prior to use. My father had something similar and I saw him use it quite often when making things.
What an insane day of magnet fishing for everyone…WOW..I wish y’all were able to keep all of the firearms that were found..I thought the cannon was the best thing ever which is a super find but this day the finds were absolutely amazing..congratulations to all of you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Thank you for sharing this grand day with us.
Congratulation! Absolutely amazing! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I want to watch is over and over. Never seen anything like it. Especially all in one place! Like they all had to leave in a hurry and dumped them all in there to run! Wow ❤
Magnificent findings Especially the rifles. Swords. And the foxes teapot And I also liked Seeing the group photos In the METRO newspaper Dated roughly 7.11.23
Wow!! What an astonishing variety of finds!! So glad folks were able to check things off their bucket lists. I believe the triangular item at 22:20 is an enamelware kitchen strainer. It would be placed in the corner of the kitchen sink to catch scraps as a person was preparing vegetables, so they could easily removed to be put in the trash or compost. (Enamelware was also called agateware.) What a lovely find Nigel had with that teapot. It certainly cleaned up nicely!!
Wow what great finds, what is the law on the guns I would love to know, it's very suspicious to find so many in one spot tho . It looks like a horde, maybe stolen from a collector 😮
Absolutely amazing!!! I have never seen so many fantastic finds in one place and one day. I think you guys should win a magnet fishing award. This was the all time best magnet fishing video I've ever seen. I had to subscribe so I can see next weeks video! Blessings to you and your family, from a friend in South Carolina, USA
What a crap day you all had 😂😂 what a great birthday you must of had Michael ( Happy Birthday) All I can say is wow!!!! Imin shock from all the amazing finds, uve all gotta go back there at some point there's defo gotta be more down there. Was you not allowed to keep any of the guns or swords? Cause there all war time so why would they want them handed in, they would be amazing guns to keep. A massive well done to ya all 👏
What an astonishing array of historic finds ! If a firearm is more than a century old can you keep it ? What are your laws. What a rare day ! Congratulations !!
Unfortunately Whitney we can't keep anything as even the antique guns need a deactivation cert to behable to keep items. We just enjoyed pulling them out x
Peaky, that oblong with the hooks at 3:19 is a pot rack that hangs from a ceiling in high class kitchens or restaurants kitchen ceilings. The bolt action rifle at 16:10 looks like my 1903 Erfurt Mauser rifle I had when I was a fancier. It was a bolt action and 9 mm. So many sore shoulders from firing that beast. Great video. Love all the history!
I am just amazed by the shear volume of finds that everyone pulled out of the water. The variety was also astounding. It’s a shame the firearms couldn’t have gone to a museum. This is something that you all will remember for some time. Congratulations ❤
I believe the regulation still applies in that any firearms considered rare or collectible recovered in a "deactivated by other means " state , I.e. rusted solid , the local chief police officer has the responsibility of offering them to a local or any other museum for display . The largest collection is at the Combined Military Services Museum in Maldon , Essex who would be more than interested in part of the recovery ..
Some very nice amazing finds there. Real shame to see history destroyed. German Lugers we’re well sort after trophies during WW2 imagine the story behind the one you found. Well Done Guys Great video.
What a day !, some really amazing finds there, for once a title that accurately describes the content, please tell me you got to keep some of those guns ?.
What a day out , you guys found some terrific finds . I bet your going back to that spot again . BIG LOVE to you all , God Bless and do take care , your follower in Canada , Stuart ..
