They do look stunning,I guess my thought is with all the lovely luxurious campers and caravans is have we lost the true spirit of camping,a lot of campsite have been getting very strict to prevent young families playing ball games because of the risk of someone damaging one of these beautiful things,camping was always about outdoor living and mucking in but now seems to be more about look at me I have loads of cash
@@julianowens4071 You make some good points and it is true, however it partly comes from the improvements with progression and increased budgets. I know people who tent camp because they can’t afford a camper or a caravan, but if they could afford one they would. Some people like their creature comforts, heating, electrical devices etc and the modern way allows this. Regarding ball games and other things such as that, it really does annoy me, but in this litigious society we live in, I understand why the campsite owners stipulate it. On a site we regularly went to a bloke always complained to reception whenever someone got a ball out 🫣 I think for many the outdoor lifestyle is what appeals to them, but the more comfort they can be in, the better. Also, Campsites used to be fields, now they are leisure facilities with swimming pools etc as the demand for this sort of thing increased
@@StaycationLifestyle thank you for such a detailed message,I think your right in many ways,I guess I’m a bit old fashioned and consider camping to be something we all did years ago on a budget, I bought a touring caravan back in 2002 and we had it for 18 years and enjoyed using it with my wife and 4 children but I noticed that camping was changing with more campers and motor homes came older campers that seem to forget that young families want to enjoy being outside and enjoy the freedom a campsite gives but found a lack of community creeping in and campers becoming more secular and trust me my kids were not Ferrell by any means ,I think they were more concerned about protecting their very expensive assets

@StaycationLifestyle the quality of the interiors are outstanding, but then when your building a 130k transporter they need to be mate ,im going to Dorset next weekend to see how my Van is getting on ,3 more weeks then it should fingers crossed be ready for collection 😀🤟
My T6.1 was £128k inc vat and it’s not even a camper, more of a sleeper. I absolutely love comments like ‘more money than sense’ and ‘a fool and his money’. 😂 Buy what you like and justify it to nobody.

@@StaycationLifestyle it’s a Van Haven build with pretty much every box ticked, one of their highest spec vans to date. Definitely overpriced, but they are local to me and had the exact lwb 4-Motion that I was looking for so I was prepared to pay over the odds to get my dream van build.

Cook a chicken, while warming feet on under floor heating, after having a hot shower outside 😂😂😂 Liberating wealthy individuals of their cash has never been easier. Its more a reflection on how easy life is in the UK when relatively regular folk can spend this amount of money on a toy to do a few weeks a year camping.
Bespoke Northern Ireland do an amazing crafter. I’ve just upgraded from my t6 4motion and I can’t tell you how happy me and my wife are. The spec is amazing and far better price than the likes of van worxs
@@StaycationLifestyleyes the mood lights are amazing. All I all I could not be happier with entire set up. We picked up from Northern Ireland end of may and have 7 trips around England so far. We absolutely love it and having the shower and the toilet plus the garage for the e-bikes makes the world of difference.
That's right, but what impact do you think that has? It has no impact on insurance and, provided you meet the criteria for a Motor Caravan (as defined by the Construction & Use Regs 1986), it has no impact on speed limits.
there are not a lot of crafter convertors out there.. its a perfect step up after a transporter....... merc spinters are not the best to look at and cost far to much for they are. why are good convertors avoiding crafters.....

Real campervanners don’t need a lot of that stuff. We go to at least 10 Vw festivals a year and members of many Vw groups and they all agree these vans are for the Covid campervan people who decided to jump on bandwagon. None of us cook in the vans always in the awning or under a tarp. Most important thing is a comfy bed, an Autoterm diesel heater(No need to waste money on an Erbaspacher). good solar with victron kit mppt, B2b and a lithium battery with a good compressor fridge. Plenty of great pop tops from Skyline etc why would you spend 8k on a Reimo roof🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. I’m lucky that I have 2 campers. My Vw plus a Dreamer Living Van which was 86k but we can live it in with comfort. He’s happy that a fool and his money will try to buy into the scene. 😂
@@stevebennett6727 “all agree” that’s a broad statement 🤣 They don’t all agree, as I know many who spend as much money as they can spare on improving their van. Not everyone has the money for new vans, especially with this level of components, but those who do, can buy the higher quality components. You mention “no need to waste money” but then you mention Victron and lithium, sone would say cheaper is available. So why waste money on those? The answer is we all have levels. Price points we are comfortable with. To be honest, I’m with you with the Autoterm, Victron and Lithium. But if I had more money, would I go for a heater with better features, yes. I know a £6k van that a couple of months ago had a Reimo roof fitted. He was determined that’s what he wanted. Pop top cost more than the van was worth, but he wanted it 🤷🏻♂️ Some could say real campervanning is a mattress in the back and a fire pit. Many people do cook in vans, but also many people don’t. There is a wide variety of campers with different tastes and preferences. Like the expensive bodykits and wheels. They aren’t needed, but some people want them. You need to have some serious money to be putting £8k wheels on a van, not for me 🫣 Regardless of what people have, we can still all go to the same festivals, beaches, meets etc
I'm sure I could find a bloke who'd say that sleeping in a pothole brimmed with piss is the only acceptable way to camp, but how you spend your money camping wouldn't be any of his business, just like how anyone else spends their money on camping isn't any of your business. Capisce?

If you properly read my comment and actually use your campervan as intended then you would know that hardly anyone cooks in their vans. I have loved upgrading my T5 and would never sell it but know loads who jumped on the campervan staycation bandwagon and are now trying to sell them to pay for 2 weeks in Benidorm 😉👌🏽🤣
@@StaycationLifestyle I agree with a lot that you say. I wild camp up the Brecon Beacons in my lightweight tent or go away in my luxury Dreamer camper with the T5 used in between. My point was and always will be if you’re spending 100k plus at least have a shower cubicle with the shower hose 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😉

@@clivemillington8452 They certainly aren’t for everyone. But that’s why like in all aspects of life there are options. Houses, cars, clothes etc we all have different tastes. Oh yes and it’s out of budget for many 😀
Much more sensible than dropping that sort of cash on a Range Rover, Bentayga, or some such. Those vehicles can't do anything that a Morris Marina can't do, but a campervan can.
