I totally agree with you that she plays the same white SG that Rosetta tharpe played! I'm glad that Dave Matthews is showcasing this young lady's talent! Great vocals and a badass on guitar! I wish her the best in her career and again thanks Dave for spotlighting this great talent! It's nice to see people enjoying each other's company up on stage getting off on each other and playing real instruments! No f****** Auto-Tune just great live Kick-Ass music!
I read a few comments about this fabulous lady being way before her time. But, this playing and passion WAS and is their time! Very little recognition for their greatness because of the color of their skin. Blues is theirs. Their lives. They invented the genre. All the great rockers and blues men got it from the magical and radical Rosetta and so many more that didn't make any mainstream outlets. We are so blessed and lucky blessed to have this music. music. It doesn't expire, or burn itself out. The best music ever

"If these diverse musicians can make such amazing music why can’t we all work together to make a better world?" I think all politicians should learn to play an instrument before taking office so they could have a jam session before every conference in order to learn to listen to each other.
Musicians of all colors, ethnicities, etc., have been playing together for centuries to do just what you suggest. To not recognize that history is where the folly lies.
Version stunk until Celisse started playing. Then it stunk again after her solo. Now I know why I’m not a Dave Matthews fan. She was this versions saving grace.
