SBUS to PWM Converter Features

1. Input signal will be automatically recognized, to achieve free switching between PPM-PWM and S.BUS.
2. Using STM32 microcontroller, external crystal oscillator. Fast signal processing, high precision output signal.
3. When the input signal is S.BUS, you can switch the output 1-8CH or 9-16CH by pressing the key.

1. When the 9CH pin input PPM signal, 1-8CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output S.BUS signal, blue LED flashes one time per cycle.
2. When 1-8CH pin input one or more PWM signal, 9CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output S.BUS signal, blue LED flashes two times per cycle.
3. When the 9CH pin input S.BUS signal, 1-8CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output PPM signal, blue LED flashes three times per cycle.
4. Without signal input, blue LED won't flash.

Ordered one years ago when on offer at BG. Tested it last week as I have lined it up for my fpv canard with pan and tilt using the R9MM..... fantastic piece of kit. Can bung the rx well out the way on a wing tip and run the Sbus back.

I love this. I was testing it for latency and it is great even for quadcopters. It perfectly fits my favorite v8r7-ii-2 receiver. Just a tip :D Ive removed the pins from the converter. Cleared the holes and soldered it right on mi receiver.....fits perfectly :)

Nice one Matt. Just had a thought. Are the signal pins always square solder pads? Showing my ignorance.

No, it's more common that ground pins and square.

I'm not really sure to be honest Andrew. We have a 50/50 chance at getting something wrong 100% of the time like a ESC :D

Interesting. I'm using a different (only 4 channels) converter in my Z-84. I had to set failsafe to 'custom' to make sure each channel gets set to neutral (0% for throttle) when FS triggers. Might be different with that converter. Just a heads up.

Using a FRSKY X series receiver, I set the failsafe on the transmitter and it just worked.

OK so here comes the stupid question. If I use an R9M receiver to pass sbus through to this and daisy chain 2 together to get access to upto 16 ch, will the power supply from a 20/30a ESC be enough to power all the servos linked up to the converter?

Hi Tony, very unlikely. You'll need a separate BEC, maybe two depending on the size of the servos. Matt

Hi Matt, I am installing the DJI FPV camera on my glider, I want to connect all the controls on my glider / winged airplane (throttle , ailerons, etc. ) to the DJI air unit which is also a receiver has only one socket on it (which I think it is SBUS but not sure). @James Smith I wanted to output ppm from my receiver but still have pwm at the same time but in the end I did things a different way.

Matt, why did you choose to install a vector in your ranger instead of using a board running iNav? I'm ordering the Ranger 2000 and I planned to install a Furious FC with iNav ... now you've got me worried because you've gone through such pains to cram a Vector in a place a board would easily fit. Also, when you put your RX and VTX on your wings, do you take steps to balance the wings. I neglected to do this on a Nano Skyhunter with tragic consequences.

Nice info... but didnt really understand how to set it up ??? I use mainly inav and there is no Sbus out from my knowledge.... So I guess I would need to have this as first in the row and then go to the inav fc?

@@jas-FPV Dead easy connect the SBUS or CPPM output from the RX into the input on the module. If you are running SBUS you can use the loop through and connect to your FC.

Have a few x4r's that the pwm on some pins are fritz but if the sbus signal is fine then this should be an option for them?

Hi Max, not sure whats not to get. Plug in SBUS into port two, connect servos on the other connections as desired. Press the button to jump from -8 to 9-16. It's a one button wonder. Matt

The Banggood link indicates it will do what you want with auto detection of what mode it is in. Number 2 below. Instructions: 1. When the 9CH pin input PPM signal, 1-8CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output S.BUS signal, blue LED flashes one time per cycle. 2. When 1-8CH pin input one or more PWM signal, 9CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output S.BUS signal, blue LED flashes two times per cycle. 3. When the 9CH pin input S.BUS signal, 1-8CH pin output PWM, 10CH pin output PPM signal, blue LED flashes three times per cycle. 4. Without signal input, blue LED won't flash.

I just ordered a 4 channel version of this off amazon for 11 dollars. I'm going to give it a try on the dji fpv system this weekend if it shows up in time. I'll let you know what i find out.

Kevin Brewster ordered one from HobbyKing.. not sure how long it will take to get to me but I’m going to start working on it as soon as I do.. can’t loose another plane do to rx/tx range(I was using my spektrum dx7) I would really like to create a simple solution for rc pilots who want to fly fpv

I also thought about the kopilot light on an airplane. They have sbus in and servo out. Banged up goods has them on sale till the 24th for 35dollars. They have return to home and some other stuff to. Right now I'm working on setting it up on a swap boat.

Ha ha, i use several of that exact same cam switcher too. A better switcher is the lantian 3 way switch, This one- www.banggood.com/custlink/K3mDhOJfuG Not because its a 3 way unit, i only ever use 2 cams but because it has slightly less flicker when switching between sources.
