God, at the end when the camera pans and there's only like six people around... Makes me think how much beauty happens every second out there somewhere that we miss. Sure there was someone filming THIS one, but how any others? How many people had their first kiss while I was typing this? How many fireflies are glowing away from human eyes? When was the last time I was there to watch the sunrise? What else am I missing while I sit on my ass with my nose in this screen?
How the hell are these guys not playing actual shows!? O_o Guy sounds like Sinatra. At the very least places like Starbucks could hire them to do shows in the cafe at night, entertaining the guests. Would give it a more upscale feel for little money.
Just because they busk doesn’t mean they aren’t prominent! I haven’t looked into these guys but I’m sure they do gig around; Moon Hooch and Too Many Zooz, critically acclaimed subway buskers still play down there from time to time despite the fact that they have incredibly lucrative gigs. A lot of people just really enjoy these spots, and if you’ve got game I’m sure you can actually take in a lot of cash!
Know who they are at all? Bravo fellas, wonderful tune. EDIT: It's Vilray - Here's their facebook: facebook.com/Vilray-75001313101/ || +Kai Ando found it for us.
+Metroid28 I'm trying to track them down myself. Would love to hear more of their music! First and only time I've seen them busking. Hopefully I'll run into them again and can get some info. Will share if I do.
+starogre I know I know! My bad. The train came and like a stereotypical New Yorker I was in a hurry to get home and not thinking straight. I promise I'll report back when/if I find them again.
Vilray was on national television last night performing from his latest album. What a significant change that was allowed by not giving up and following his goals.
Yes I KNOW them! The singer is VILRAY - lives in Brooklyn and he's AMAZING Find him here: vilraysings.com and support him here: www.patreon.com/Vilray?ty=h
I really like the artful way you've ended the video with the subway shot. Pure kismet it pulled in right then but you captured the moment brilliantly. Bravo.
Imagine being anywhere else in the subway and hearing this as it echos down the terminal. I don't think i'd ever want leave NYC after hearing that, too good.
