Большая часть этих так называемых лайвхаках, оптсана еще книгах для плотников СССР. По такой книге, мой отец еще дачный дом строил, без единого гвоздя. Уже 35 лет прошло. А все проемы под окна, двери, стыки, все ровное. А современный (баня) уже покосилась и гуляет от температур.

1:00 Why wouldn't you just drill out the knot so you get a perfect circular hole, then fill it with the same sized dowel so you don't have to do all the extra steps of the super glue, saw dust, etc.?

I do them with offset ovals at half thickness on each side. One failing won't leave a hole in your boat.

I normally get annoyed by videos that do not show what you see on the still photo "Hook" but these are impressive joints and any joint that is strong by design will always be better than one that relies on fixings.

Die Schwalbenschwanz Verbindung ohne Dübel, da es nicht notwendig ist und es sieht schöner aus. Bitte einen Holz Hammer verwenden.

@2:30 Ok, why would you dowel a join like that, rather than at a right angle through the mortice and tenon? Doesn't seem like the dowel would add any extra strength this way; force sufficient to separate the M&T would just pull that dowel out along with it.

That would work too. If you notice the dowel holes were half on the mortise and half on the tenon, effectively making the dowel like a key that prevents the joint pulling apart.

I don't get the painter's tape on the hinge. What was that supposed to do? it didn't line up any markings or anything at all. was it meant to be a spacer between the two pieces...? that is all i can figure it did.

А во кто мне, темному объяснит. На первом примере: если он туда ввинтил шурупы, то зачем туда же бобышки? Что они держат? А если они держат хоть что-то, то зачем там шурупы!?

As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

those nails do more damage than the hammer would. That vice work was so "good" that there's a huge gap in the joint. GARBAGE

@@_Jan_Jaker_aj_1_ of course I can do it. I literally have a video on my channel about plugging holes in wood. But it's only viable if it's a small nail hole or something of the sort. Not a giant knot! I'll put it this way, if I saw an employee of mine doing this, id fire them.

Хуета. Больше половины "лайфхаков" описаны давным давно, а автором ролика исполнены на отъебись. Но инструмент неплохой, да. Лично мне было бы стыдно, имея годный парк техники и хороший инструмент по дереву, снимать настолько херово исполненные методы
