You are so right about the addiction factor of this process. I found out how well alcohol markers work on acrylic paint. Made designs on some of my “not so favorite “ acrylic paintings, and love the tribal designs that appeared. That’s for the great ideas!
Kori, this is defnitely addicting and therapeutic. You started me off on your first video, and I can’t stop making these😀 Ive been using photocopies of my own gell prints as background for the white on black markings. Then moved on to different brighter colours. Using it as edge doodling on the page sides of my journals. I am using whatever pens I have, so a huge thank you for sharing🤗
Thank you, Kory, for these two videos. I watched the previous one also. I have so many alcohol pens so will certainly do this. I ordered the white gel pens on Amazon 3\$7.00. Appreciate the tip, no pun intended, on these. Frustrated with gel pens most of the time. I really like the mark making. It looks like light language and tribal which I am gravitating toward.
Love these patterns Kory. I am a pattern maker among other things and this is something I also like doing in bed. It is a great bed/tv activity. I have just put more pens on my shopping list. I have plenty but you can never have too many. A very inspiring video. Thanks for sharing. 😀💜
Oh I love it Margaret. Do you sell your patterns? I’m thinking starting that. I’m really glad you like this and hope you have as much fun as I do making them. I’m sure you will. 😉
@@KorysArtCafe Yes I am thinking of selling some papers. Both digitally and physically - worth a try. I generate so many papers it's hard to use them all up. First I need to learn how to create a good digital image. I don't have a chisel point marker atm so that is on the list to buy at the next opportunity. My pottery teacher 20 years ago called me a pattern maker and I realised that I have made patterns all my life, ever since I could hold a pencil. I love patchwork too. I love how shapes go together to create other patterns. 😀❤
@@scrapbagstudios That’s really great. There’s a platform online you might want to check out. It’s called Spoonflower. I’ve been looking at it myself lately.
