Agree on the Ingenuity Highchair! Got the one we picked out on our registry as a gift for around $100. It is safe, simple & easy to clean. Don’t need bells & whistles for a highchair, if you choose to use one!
You can make your own smash cake? If not check your local grocery store bakery department. Take them a inspirational photo and sometimes they can replicate simple designs for sooooo much less than a bakery store.

The amazon basics 3 pack swaddle blankets are amazing. I bought the "boys" pattern for my son and was genuinely surprised by the quality. They are lightweight and very stretchy. He didnt like to be swaddled, but we used them for other things. My sister's baby DOES like to be swaddled and nothing she has gets as tight a swaddle as the amazon blankets!
Certain items it is just worth the extra money to get what you want or get the original. High-wear items like sleep sacks and swaddles I've had knock offs rip in the past. Breast pumps the hands free is 100% worth it if you can swing it, since at least my insurance (I guess almost 2 years ago at this point) wouldn't cover it, I really wish I had splurged and bought it or put it on my registry. AND a high quality stroller. There are so many things you can save on, clothes, diapers, wipes, crib. And I love that you're calling out all the stuff you don't need, like the mattress protectors, so unneccessary!

The reason that one Graco car seat was 179 at target was Becuase it had the one Handel option, that red button on the top moves the Handel bar, makes life so much simpler!!
The freemie breast pump I hear is a great alternative for the Elvie pump. I’ve personally never tried it but my coworker has and she loves it. It’s on my Amazon registry so I hope to be able to give a good review eventually. Thanks for all your tips Mai! I love your channel!
Look into the MomCozy wearable pump, it’s even more similar to the Elvie than the freemie cups. I’ve never tried it, but there’s a lot of reviews on yourube

I do not feel comfortable getting used products especially during COVID. If I am skipping nose Frida or Birthday parties due to this reason, I might as well skip used products on marketplace.
They are def not a must have. Just a cute item and some people like the soft sole cause it’s good for babies learning to walk compared to hard soles. I just know a lot of people who spend a ton on them and babies grow so fast it’s not worth it to spend a huge chunk of change on it when it’s way cheaper on Amazon 😁
