Hey Friends! What do you think of this tripod? Would you rather spend more for a well known brand or are you like me and always looking for a budget option??
A thing about british RU-vidrs is that they use kilogram instead of pounds which to 7 billion people excluding the north americans helps in taking a decision.
Boring vid, yes ... but , great review Very informative ... as a person who loves travel and camping I am on the hunt and was considering a carbon fiber tripod and I found one ( oben ctt 1000) so far it holds its own .. anyways great vid mate .. keep it up 👍
The exact same tripod is branded as "National Geographic" - great compact length but awfully fiddly to set up with these screw releases. Also quite heavy.
Hey, dude nice video first! please help me... I must have a tripod and I have canon m50 as you know mirrorless. I am a video maker so i don't care photos. As I searched the internet I need a liquid head, ball head or gimble head which I am not sure about them. Please help me to buy my self a tripod to make better videos. Cheers.
Hi! Thanks for watching! I must ask, what are you filming? It’s hard to make a recommendation with so little information. Personally for the type of filming I mostly do I dont generally need a fluid head so you might be able to save money if not needed?
Pepper!!!! 😍 Good work fella, I'm a big fan of heavy tripods because I never do work outside, but this little chap looks great - and easy to throw in my wheelchair bag which is jolly handy, definitely worth keeping in mind. Cheers!
You knew I’d have to get her in a video at some point! Yeah I love this tripod it’s been a very pleasant surprise. K&F have just seen this video and now want to send me their offering so that will be a great one to try out. Hope you are doing ok among all this stuff going on?
@@WillChidlow ticking over buddy thank you, keeping sensible and working in content for the other channel as much as I can. It'll be great to see what you think of the K&F jobbie. Stay safe dude 😁
I have it for 2 years and the ballhead have dead. I have swap it for a Ulanzi ballhead that’s quite light and now I’m on 990g and hold much better. Looks like it will hold up for quite more years!
@@gms03sbd3 Thanks, I was looking at the same option. I was leaning towards the U-60L but that has a 1/4 inch screw base and wouldn't fit on this tripod :(
Honestly, I am shocked at how expensive tripods are!! I have one I barely used because it's horrible (I believe it was a Hama, says enough), bulky, heavy, and not nice to travel with (always use my Joby). But now that I extended to filming I really am searching for a new usable tripod that can go higher than the Joby. Honestly shocked at the prices most of the tripods have.
Yep it’s true, good quality tripods do cost a lot. Never a fun purchase but a quality tripod will last you a very long time. Hope you find something that does the job for you! 👍🙏😎
@@WillChidlow I'm honestly more confused than before, but I'll be either a gimbal stabilizer or static and light tripod for travel. It's really a difficult choice. I think I know the whole camera RU-vid community by now, cause I've been watching so many review video's, and it did not make things easier. 🤣
@@mrrit just wondering, did you get one you like in the end? I’m looking for a new tripod, and don’t have the motivation to look at many reviews yet 😅😅
@@taranmoran6063 Heya, sorry Just saw your reply in between my notifications. But to be honest, no I did not. I was broke and thought I'll just manage with my flimsy Joby mini tripod. It is not as sturdy anymore, always in danger of falling down, but it still works. I'll invest once I find a steady job this year. Good luck though! It is truly a battlefield, the internet, and the search for a good, durable, proper, not too expensive tripod.
@@mrrit Yeahh, I’m in a similar situation and I can’t see a good reason to splash £100-£200 on a tripod when my £20 one gets good results. Hope you find a nice steady job🤞🤞
Hi, great video. Two quick questions: 1- The minor problem with the screws, do they screw metal to metal so that we could use something like loctite? Not sure if it would work on plastic. 2- Have you had any experience using this tripod in cold weather? North Norway and Sweden in winter sometimes we get -20D Celsius or colder. Thanks for sharing, and it was not boring to watch.
Hi Vitor! Since making this video I have actually used Loctite on my tripod and confirm it has 100% solved the issue for me so yes, great idea and will definitely work.. Secondly, Im in the UK so haven't really tested in extreme cold however I wouldn't imagine it being too much of an issue. Ive just reviewed another carbon tripod by K&F concepts which also be worth you checking out, it's slightly more money but much more solid than the amazon one and slightly taller as well. due to the cold weather id be tempted to stretch the budget and consider the K&F option. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching
No way! Im seeing it at £92 but that is still quite a jump up! for that money id be looking at the K&F offering ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uJNt3i0f0qM.html
Thanks for the video, Will! Very good. I'm after something smaller and lighter than my old Manfrotto, too, and I think I'll by one of these. I was looking at buying a vanguard veo 2 but it's double the price so amazon one looks like a winner ;-)
I’m looking for a size like this one so I can place it on the counter holding the camera facing down to the cooktop and the foods I cook for my RU-vid channel. Thank you
This one's is absolutely amazing travel tripod! Do you have a suggestion for replacing the quick release plate for this tripod? The arca Swiss plates aren't compatible.
