After 3 weeks critical tips i got is. 1. Cross reference addresses box numbers names 2. At group stops make sure you got every package for each house. You want to make sure there all there and you dont mix them up Other than that pretty easy. Nitpicking tips i got. 1. Put the keys in your pocket and leave them there if possible. Its easy to leave them on accident.
Thanks so much for this video. For showing us how to use the App from start to finish. Other Amazon drivers make videos and they don't show us this and how to sort the package. They don't explain or teach us nothing.
One of the better videos about the job position iv found so far. Very informational. Learning how to organize and KNOW which packages to get next, is the biggest hurdle imo.
@21:45 that grip on the pen. I'm calling the police... lol Excellent video, my brother! Thank you for sharing your valuable insights. May God's blessings be upon you
VERY informative! I just passed my driving test today and I start my ride along tomorrow so I am definitely glad that I came across this video today! Thank you!
Those white vans have ZERO shelves. Please also tell folks that when they do rescue, they have to scan everything in the bag(s) that they are taking and MAKE SURE TO CHECK the overflows to see if they go with their bag(s). VERY IMPORTANT ❗️👍
The shelves are good for ppl who are new. Once u done this a little the shelves don’t really make a big deal. Only plus is the lights in the back some of the rentals don’t have lights so when it get dark it annoying. Also u can scan bag on rescue don’t gotta scan everything as long as the person didn’t mix up any packages in the bag.
Yesterday was my ride along and tomorrow is my first day driving Alone. This video is a good refresher and exactly what I was looking for my guy. Thanks 🙏🏼
I deliver in chicago my first day went decent, I just had trouble logging in the mentor app. (You scan the vin# bar code, for us, it’s on the side of the door)..I’ve worked 3 days, yesterday I finally finished my route without getting rescued. 7 totes and 13 over flow….good luck to all. I’m super sore from all that walking and lifting. I worked from home for the past 4 years lol.
I had no idea that watching vids in mentor helped increase my score! I will be trying that because if I get a bad score at the beginning of my week, it really messes up my score for the rest of the week.
I like how nice you are hopefully it’s not for the camera 😂😂. But I liked how you helped another driver, shit like that makes a working environment fun
Awesome video full of information, I’m really grateful for you lookin out and showing what to do etc , I start my training in a week or so and I’m a little nervous but I’ll get it down, thanks again hope you’re new year goes well, stay safe
@@Arnnnnn We did slides and videos 1st day with a few quizzes and a final. Today was a 10 minute behind the wheel course and even more videos and slides with another final. No routes yet until we finish our 3 day training.
@@Arnnnnn Gl my guy. Just finished training today. Easy stuff. They basically give you the answers for the tests. I think I officially start next week after a drug test.
The RAM leased vans tend to be shorter in length and have a better turning radius. That works much better on rural forested routes like we have here in Washington. While they don't have shelves, they are much easier to navigate going down narrow and long private driveways with little room to turn around. Also, the Rams have front-wheel drive which handles better in the rain, mud, and snow. The Ford Transits are single-wheel, rear-drive (passenger side) which is absolutely lousy if you get the passenger rear wheel into mud or snow. You will easily get the van stuck. It's such a problem here that our vans actually have snow chains in them along with shovels and tow straps. These come in handy, especially after running a route yesterday during an ice storm. Both the chains and the shovel came in handy. Be safe DAs!
Waddup Vutea! Do you always get 8 hours (or 10 hours) every day? What happens when you finish early and no rescue? Would you still get paid 8 hours at the mininum? Thanks!
Don’t pick up the package unless it’s within the neighborhood. I wouldn’t. Especially if I end my route later, I’m not traveling more than 5 minutes away.
Country routes are more drive time less packages but must navigate some tricky driveways and a lot more dogs. I'm much more worn out doing city route though because higher volume. Depends what you're more comfortable with
is it tru you dont get breaks? and not enought time to deliver? also i live in vegas do you think it would be too hot since the vehicle has to be turned off each stop?
These Amazon driving jobs I’ve already did one this guys make it look too easy in the video. Yeah they give you 215 minute breaks in a mandatory 30 minute lunch break but they don’t really want you taking the 15 minute breaks you can take them if you want but it’s looked down upon. They load your vans specially if you get in Vegas I live in Los Angeles if you live in a big city they pack your van hard. And this guy was bullshitting in the video. You can’t walk slow like that they want you power walking in and out if you’re at a location longer than 20 seconds they call you and tell you is there any barriers in your way
If u take your breaks expect to be fired. They don't want you to take breaks and will lie and say they are factored into your route but the math doesn't add up. No other company operates like this from my experience but from what I know they do this on purpose because they always expect new hires. Which is idiotic but Amazon is the McDonald's of same day delivery. Eventually they will try yo phase out drivers and use self driving or drones...
You're either a driver or your working in the warehouse. If you want positions above that you better have a ton of time in or have college education or both. Best you'll probably become is a manager and there's usually like 3 managers at least.
I Am From India Day By Day Amazon Flex Company Very Bad Make A Video Of Dark Secrets Of Amazonflex If U Don't Do Pod Or Not Give Positive Feedback Questions Then U Not Get Any Blocks Always Station Force To Do Pod By Self Account Money and Monopoly of Blocks also
I have applied for dsp and my background check is Approved. What should I do next after that? I'm still waiting for the instructor to give me the details like drug test and training
@@rjbenway8804 I passed my drug test and my dsp has me downloading an app and that’s about it. I’m waiting to see if I need training or something before I add shifts on my schedule lol
I just want to know who the idiot was at Amazon who came up with the idea of putting a mobile app on the cell phone and calling that phone a "rabbit". ...like #WTF??? 🤪🤪🤪
@@sosbaldo7612 ill tell you why , so your dsp company wants you to finish your route , in order to finish those routes you have to average a certain number of stops per hour , let’s say 3 minutes a stop That’s 20 stops an hour (still low) so you gotta be running and moving so fast during the 10 hours shift and it’s all nonstop and at a fast paced , if you’re not fit ☠️
I worked for Amazon in the uk worst company ever 150 plus deliveries per day minimum plus you get on average 50-60 locations which means you’re actually doing over 200 drops per day. You don’t get time for toilet breaks never mind proper breaks they treat drivers like shit.
I just started a month ago and have only been getting 30 I know a guy that switch locations and is new at mine. He's been working for a year and only getting 30 hrs
@@Hey-gt4gs yea it really is a job that depends on the dsp. I know some dsp were they getting only 30 hrs like u said and then I know others that are getting 55 hrs. Mine so far during peak was 50-55 for top drivers and 40 for other drivers. Now it pretty much 40 hrs cap and drivers with low mentor scores will get less then 40 maybe 1-2 days a week
@@straightcash5270 yeah that's crazy ultimately I feel like depending on the DSP groups if they have enough workers they only give out so many hours. So my team has 55 workers or so, somewhere around 50. And like you said, they give more hours to better drivers. My mentor score ieant that low, it's at 820 right now. But here's the thing. The job requires alot of turning around going down one street or area and then coming back to the same area 2 hr later. Also my DSP managers are always telling us we're gonna get shut down cause fools keep leaving key in ignition. I don't like this kinda if job too much pressure
People with a masters degree do not have time to search or watch an amazon video; that in no way shape or form applies to them. Keep living in your fantasy world 🤡
A lot of DSP is do the same thing. It’s because they get pressured from Amazon. They treat you like shit. You basically have to be running from house to house if you’re not add a location for 10 seconds they start calling your phone
