That’s a legit guitar. Randy Rhodes would have totally played it. I really like that you’re letting a tech to evaluate it. Many of us have no clue, so it helps to hear from an expert who repairs guitars regularly. Interesting about the way the pickups registered, but that’s all personal preference - despite being on the hotter side, the pickups really sounded nice, even on the cleans. I didn’t hear any muddiness. Next time you should unboxing a guitar with your fingers - who needs machetes when you can shred with the your bare hands?! 😂 Also, you gotta get those punk ass GC employees back for tricking you, lol.

It's crazy these days. You can buy $200 guitars an Amazon all that day play nice straight out of the box, where just 20 years ago, guitars that were $400+ needed so much work. It's just a shame we're so far past the 80s metal days...there would be so many awesome bands right now making these cheap, Amazon companies famous the big names would be dropping bricks in their pants. 🤣
