Amazon GPS speedometer from Bluerice

We test the accuracy of the Bluerice GPS speedometer. This speedometer is sold on Amazon for around $76.00 US as of 7/20/2020. It can change the color of back lighting to seven different colors and comes with the GPS antenna. the unit is simple to wire up with only three wires. mine was red for power, orange for power to the back light and blue for ground.

That is sweet.. I havent seen a speedo that you didnt need a cable or anything.

@@MattLundquistVW yo so you think i should be good using this on my dirtbike? Lol I was thinking to just use that drill battery pack as well just don't know how to wire it how you did

@@Mr.JoeMontanya you could use it on a dirt bike as long as you have 12v run to it. The speedometer only needs the positive and negative wires hooked up to work. The rest are for lights.

Matt, Which GPS systems are compatible with the device? GLONASS, GNSS, QZSS, Galileo? What is the initial acquisition time for the device to "lock on" the system to accurately display the velocity (speed) of the subject (vehicle) ?

Chris A. I have no idea which systems are compatible, you are lucky to get instructions on how to hook it up in this price range. The first time I turned it on it took about ten seconds to lock on, after that it has only took two or three seconds. It's amazing accurate for the price, half the cost of just the GPS unit of name brand companies.

Probably a knock off, but not of Auto-Meter doesn't look like anything in their line up.

Why the hell would they install the buttons on the back of the gauge, so if you need to do a trip reset etc I have to pull my cluster apart for this? Not knocking your choice of gauge, I just don't see where the engineers came up with this great idea LOL.

Yeah I don't understand that either, but it only cost $76 for a GPS speedometer, so can't expect it to be the best lol. But it is pretty darn accurate an waterproof.
