@@lwrncjms lets see. analog stick (though they played with the idea on the sega saturn after nintendo introduced the analog stick idea) the Dpad formation. copied the nintendo cross set up, rather than the traditional sega dial dpad configuration. The face buttons. sega went with ABXY (Nintendo set up) even the button colors were similar to the super famicom Controller colors. they eradicated the select button like how Nintendo did with the n64 controller. Nintendo even introduced the trigger button, which is now a common thing on controllers now.
I noticed something slightly similar on my testing of Luna, but I was playing with a wired controller on PC. I played 3 or 4 different times, and the first time the Castlevania collection had a bad delay that caused me to die on an easy part, and I think one other game. Since that time it's been better, though my second or third time I was getting messages about my connection and noticing intermittent delays. I definitely think some games work better than others. I plan on getting a controller and seeing how that works. My more recent playing of Luna has been better - I know it's beta, so I expect issues as well as improvements. Comparing this to Stadia - I pretty much never have issues / delays with Stadia. It runs smooth on every game (using a Stadia controller and CCU).
Thank you for your excellent review!!! Really well done! I subscribed to your channel! I got an invite to get it early - but I think I may just wait it out while they work on some of the bugs - and expand the game list.
Is it true that these will play the tv sound through the 3.5 headphone jack? This would be perfect to be able to play the TV audio through the jack with some headphones while I play and stream movies on my Xreal glasses since my Bluetooth controlles always interfere with my Bluetooth ear buds.
Let’s be honest. Stadia is the best cloud gaming platform and thanks to the critics is growing even better and faster! It’s starting to get big games and having just 10 Mbps it plays sooooo smooth like: red dead runs at 60 fps.. it’s just incredible.. the bad thing is that it requires a credit card or a paysafecard account (but for that you have to use an android phone)
I just found out you can use the controller hooked up to a generic USB outlet in a regular electrical outlet, you dont need batteries I only tried the PS5 Charging cable but sure others will work
I'm not sure for the actual Fire TVs themselves. Its not listed as supported in their documentation. So far this is what they have listed for Fire TV based devices. FireTV devices (Fire TV Stick - 2nd gen, Fire TV Stick 4K, or Fire TV Cube - 2nd gen)
Yes it does and all you need is a regular bluetooth controller that pairs with fire tv. I'm using a generic 10 dollar controller I had lying around I used for emulators on the firetv
With some of the Retro Games, I notice a lot of these reviewers attribute response lag to the luna service or even the controller. Keep in mind many of these older games do have features that seem like lag but are actually made that way by design in order to raise the difficulty of their games for their respective time periods. Castlevania 1 2 and 3 are examples of this design. Clunky controls that require you to commit to your inputs. I did it side by side experimenting with my NES on crt vs my iPad AIR 2 with luna controller via direct server connection. The responses were pretty much the same. And the lags seen were indeed not the service, but Castlevania's design scheme.
No achievements, no parties, no mutliplayer online, controller disconnected a few times on 100mbps, no plug in for ethernet connection. Compared to Stadia I was very disappointed. Cant own games either priced at 8 bucks a month and free trial only 7 days.
Has anyone actually seen the Amazon Fire controller? They already had that design... just saying. Looks good though. I'm sure things will be smoothed out before public release.
Question I thought when you get the Amazon Luna it was supposed to lit up the whole controller so if you want to play at night so you be able to see everything is it true
Works good on my Chromebook. But only when plugged in. The Bluetooth connects but doesn't move anything. I tested a ps4 controller and works fine. Using browser to play Fortnite.
Either your hands big AF or the controller super small 😅....Does the the controller work on other devices that are non-luna related? Windows or android games
what's bad for me is that even if i installed the driver for PC and paired it that's good it's working but after 5 min on idle it get disconnected and then i have to delete the device and pair it again it should reconnect automatically when pressing the power button like it would do when i connect it on my phone for example
With Amazon Luna, how does the subscription service work? Do you have to pay for each game, or are they included with your subscription? I'm asking because one of the games I want to play next year will be on the Amazon Luna service (as well as the newest consoles, and I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on one of those for a while).
They are included in the subscriptions, there are three as of now, luna+ has the main games like control, grid etc. And ubisoft+ has ubisoft games like assassins creed etc. And the Luna family has games for kids like sponge Bob attack in bikini bottom. You can't play on luna without buying at least one subscription, cuz the games are in that subscription.
you have to subscribe to specific categories like family or action games or Ubisoft which is like 18 bucks the others are cheaper. if you are a hardcore gamer it might not be for you but if you are a casual gamer it works
Can you play on the iPhone without WiFi using cellular data? The controller won’t work for me doing that, but it is connected to my phone via Bluetooth
I've not played games since 2010 lol. This looks SO cool and inexpensive. I don't need a huge expensive console. But I want to know if there would be games like: DBZ, Street Fighters, Tekken, Sonic, etc.
@@radroroscam3770 Amazon has already confirmed it's using tesla t4 gpus in their servers, and those have about equivalent gaming performance to an rtx 2070
I don't like subscriptions this is why i really appreciate stadia, i only buy the games i want and eventually do a random pro month to play something interesting
This was a big let down for me Was looking forward to playing RE 7,on my iPhone, So mad when It wasn’t in the gaming catalog. It was confirmed that Resident evil 7 gold Edition would be A Launch title. I fear it’s going in the same direction as ubiplay+ another $15.00 for a Capcom game channel I Was disappointed when it didn’t function on my new 3rd generation Amazon 4K fire stick, what’s worse even with the Luna controller and with 1000mbps download speed I still get latency, stutters and input lag... Luna needs lots of work still. Hopefully in time it will get better but for now it will sit in the closet along with my stadia,
I also noticed playing Castlevania had far more visual skips, delays and graphic distortion than the more graphically technical games like a Plague Tale and Control 😕
