I have the SP1 version, which has some electronics on board. I love it - it’s a lot of fun to play. I adjusted the action a bit by sanding down the saddle about 1/16th of an inch and put lighter strings on it (Martin Custom Lights). Now I want to play it all the time. It also sounds good with nylon strings. I bought it to keep in my camper and to play in all kinds of weather during the summer and to keep by the sofa the rest of the time. Since the neck is a normal width and depth, it’s easy for me to switch back and forth between this and my other gigging guitars (unlike some other travel guitars).

I have yet to find a review on this guitar that mentions the gauge of the strings that come with the unit. It's such an important point for playability that I can't believe no one mentions it.

You can put any strings you like on it. I use Martin custom lights. It also sounds good with nylon strings.

The only issue is the action its very high i added a piezo under my saddle and brought saddle down more then put slightly thinner strings on mine also fret buzz is kinda there not bad but there

They have an acoustic one, one with electronic pick up and sound effects built in, and a mini version which is an even smaller acoustic.

Bro sp1 is semi acoustic and this is acoustic and sp1 combes with different sound modes like reverb delayed

It's good small travel guitar. But do not get this guitar as a beginner, you just don't get the sound quality of the guitar that makes you want to keep playing and learning more. The lack of sound clarity will not be good for a beginner who doesn't know if the chord they're playing is right or not.

TIL the quality of the guitar controls whether or not you're able to know whether or not you're playing the right chord? I've been playing for over 25 years and that's one of the most ridiculuous takes I've ever heard. If I give either guitar in this video or my '53 Les Paul to a beginner, do you really think they would notice not playing a chord correctly better on one vs the other? so dumb

@@RichardGaudenti I second your statement. I can make music with one of those cheap $10 guitars at Walmart. Out of tune? Sure, but it's still recognizable. I taught myself how to play on a $100 Ibanez. I have this exact model in a different color and sure, the acoustic sounds aren't great, but it plays fine and plugged up it's not bad. @jinsong6940 the sound quality isn't bad and you can def hear it. The small hole at the top points towards you and compared to my more expensive Ibanez acoustic, I can hear it just fine. And beginners will know if they can play a G Chord correctly or not 😂😂😂

man what? i don't get ya. the video clearly shows how clear the sound is. i have also watched user reviews from online shops to check whether these youtube videos were edited. but heck they are clear asf. maybe you need more ear training.

It's a terrible guitar. The neck is very thick and the action is horrible.

The neck is normal, and you can adjust the action. It has a removable saddle and even has a neck truss rod. Almost every new guitar needs a little set-up.

@zapdunga12 I'm assuming you've never picked this guitar up. I'm not an Enya rep by any means, but I have this guitar and the neck is most def not thick. You must use 2" necks for you to say this one is thick, but you're 100% wrong.
