Hi, Matt! I'm such a foodie that I never mind you "smackin'" your chow downs. LOL! From my understanding, if you're eating in an Asian ramen-style noodle restaurant, it's expected to hear eating / slurping sounds as it's a sign of respect to the chef. Go figure. I'd have to take two buses to get to this location, so if I ever find myself in this area, I'm definitely buying some surf and turf. Thanks for sharing your food tours! Stay blessed. Lyons Av and Bergen St. You're talking the deep hood! I'm 74 from Down Neck and I bowled at Lyons Lanes for several years ! Me and friends would go anywhere for good food ! Back in the late 60's after the bars closed we used to go to Caruso's on Raymond Blvd. across from Market St. Pizza, burgers, clams, hot dogs. Something for everybody! We met about a dozen friends and hung out. Noboby hassled you, including cops. We knew them and they knew us !😂 Great days ! You knew your neighbors ten houses down and they knew you !😂❤

I was in New Jersey back in April and if I would have known about this place, I would have gone there. I was raised in Newark and moved to Florida in 1998. I always like to go to places I use to frequent. While there in Newark this time, I stopped at Dickie Dee's for their Italian hot dog. Have you ever been there? It's on Bloomfield Ave.

The beginning was hilarious. A couple of young bucks trying to check you for filming, although I'm sure they are harmless - not in their minds but in the grand scheme - and you immediately step to them and explain yourself. Made more sense when I saw the Navy hat and realized you were military. All of sudden I hear "You good". Nah youngin. YOU good

Been my ish since I first tried it the one on Springfield Ave. Definitely deserves the name crack chicken. Any event I do gotta have at least 50 crack wings. Was so happy when they opened one closer to me on the hill in jersey city.

It certainly looked fresh, even the wing tip. Theyre usually hard and not the thing one eats, but the wing tip on these wings looked so fresh, it actually LOOKED crispy. Made me wanna eat it ! It all looked great and fresh.

Indies fried chicken, Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffersonville , IN.. mixed, mild & spicy wings, seasoned mixed greens & candied yams..peach cobbler But if we're talking soul food, cooked with love, Cafeteria style, Franco's on 18th street in louisville, winner winner every visit.. those ladies keep that line moving, they don't play around. nice portion sizes, the sides offered, all are worth trying, the additional peach cobblers going to push you over the top.. unless you bring the dawggy bag

I remember years ago on Bergen & south Orange Jamaican spot golden krust got shut down cause above store was abandoned unoccupied so who's they ambassador to city hall do you know?
