Sheesh! Oxtail Burger, Shrimp Burger at The Yard in Newark, NJ 

I never wanted to try something more in my life! Oxtail and shrimp burgers!

The owner seems like a sweet guy. Very kind hearted...and knows his business.

If any of you all are second guessing this place….. y’all missing OUT!!!!! This place is AMAZING!!! The Shrimp Burger is full of Real shrimp in every bite!!! The oxtail burger is AMAZING!!!!! I drove three hours to eat here and it was worth EVERY minute of my drive!!!! I wish they had one in every city!!!!!

I love how he explained his methods on the allergies. Cooking on a separate burner. Most dont cook on a separate burner.

I walk past this spot every day and I've known the owner, Kai Campbell, for damn near 20 years, and I can't explain to you the lengths he goes to give Newark the food he gives. The food is BEYOND amazing. If you can go, GO. Yes, it's Newark but it's DOWNTOWN. Quite a bit of white folk now😊. Directly in back of JL across the street is a Whole Foods. Again, some of the best food you will ever have. The owner, Kai, needed this affirmation. Again, he cuts NO CORNERS with his food.

Hearing/seeing how food is made is even better than watching someone react to eating it. I can actually taste it like this

As a Swiss who lives 45 min away from the town of Gruyère, I instantly felt respect for this man as soon as I heard him say he put Gruyère cheese on the burger, even more when I heard the pronunciation that was on point!

Never heard of a oxtail burger before but that sh!t look bangin. I 'm going to try/make one with straight oxtail.

Had the oxtail last year around Christmas when I was visiting my daughter. All I could say after that first bite was " Oh my God!!!!"

I must have watched this at least 6 times !! The way that he bit into and didn't say anything he just had to let it marinate for a minute. Then he looked as if he got mad. It was just that good! I know that feeling!

First time walking around downtown Newark and visiting the Nj Pac center for the first time, "Nice", and before the show, I walked to the military park where the yard is located and tried their sprimp burger out too! It came with a fresh salad 👏 very delicious and I love the customer service. I highly recommend visiting.

That used to be called Military Park. The old recruiting station is now the restaurant. The food looks delicious eventhough dude touched the meat, then the brioche bun. Hmmm.

The oxtail burger had great flavor color and ingredients and cooked very well,cooked it, the right time on the flat top,the buns brown right,where you can see the,buns still had the soft Ness,everyone looks for when you eat, the burger, and the shrimp burger.everything was made with love heart and understanding on what your looking for in a meal.

I use to make shrimp burgers all the time at the crib, my wife got to be a spectator to my creativity!!!! Never thought to do Oxtails tho, Interesting well executed!

Happy to see you in parts of my neighborhood its dope to see. That park has so much joy and love and activities happening consistently and the yard is a great place to have in the community. Also enjoyed the extra bonus of them re-opening bragmans. Bragmans was a OG sandwich spot thats been there for ages. My mother used to eat from there over 50 years ago and took me throughout my life. Unfortunately the lockdown messed things up for them but good to see they're coming back. Strongly suggest you visit again when they open, I'm sure it'll be worth the trip. Love your content, keep killing it bro
