But why can't Malta express those strong messages with better lyrics??? Almost every "strong" maltese entry I get the feeling all they are talkin about is a group of people that was miss treated by the government
This actually makes the song less good. First of all, it's not really a good idea to write and sing a song about someone else's experiences you can't personally relate to unless that person has specifically asked you to do that. Second, many cancer survivors and those who lost loved ones due to cancer, in fact, reject the language depicting cancer patients as "fighters", and their experience as a "battle", because that puts a lot of pressure on them, and subconsciously implies they can "fail", that it would be their fault if the treatment doesn't help as they "haven't fought their best", and that they are also "giving up", "not using all possible weapons" if they make a decision not to undergo some forms of treatment with a small chance of success and accept dying peacefully instead.
Esc Mike Yes Cyprus suprised me a lot, like Montenegro :) The biggest suprises of performances this year for me is Hungary, Montenegro and Cyprus :) But now we know who Greece will give 12 points to ;) And Czech Republic was fantastic to, Iceland and Czech Republic most underrated songs this year, and I also think malta was better than many of the qualifiers, Denmark are out, but that is not a suprise for me, hope we do better next year :) Good luck with Greece tomorrow :) Who is your winner tomorrow?
Actually with the new voting system she would have passed, Matla had 84 points from the jury and 32 from the televoting giving a total combined score of 116 points Azerbaijan had 67 points from the jury and 37 points from the televoting giving a total combined score of 104 points so.. now we know that she deserved the final
let's ignore what i said over the last 6 months it's now my winner of 2015 im still pissed they changed the style bc the malta final was amazing this wasn't as good
esc life i prefer Malta, Republic tcheque, Iceland and Portugal.. than Slovenia, Chyprus and Lithuania .... I prefer Malta than Azerbaidjan or israel ..; it's not cool the jury of the 2snde semi-final....

Emmanuel Ibarra I know right! I'm so angry right now! Nothing against the countries but Lithuania was nothing special very out dated and repetitive, Cyprus nothing special at all and altough I liked Israel, it sounded very out of tune ! ;(
I know its a joke. I voted for this like crazy! This is the winner. My hopes are all down to Elhadia now..... She is my favourite but I don't even know if she will do well ....
I wish ESC could have a special rule for malta and other small countries, instead of jury and televote just times the jury votes by two, that way in 2016 Malta would have gotten 5th instead of 12th, and in 2021 they would have gotten 4th instead of 7th and in this they would have made it in the finals.
I can't believe it...I've been standing in awe ever since the semifinal ended. I just sat there, 30 minutes wondering what happened. It was a perfect performance and the power really came through to the viewers. If anyone thought Slovenia is always underrated, think about Amber. I really hope she comes back and proves to Europe that she can do it and she will fight through. For now, Malta has to accept their defeat because by losing this time, they will win something even greater and much more powerful.

I arrived home few minutes before the qualifiers were announced...missed the songs and had no clue how the performances were. I was shocked that Malta didn't qualify so I asked myself if the performance wasn't good. Now that I watched it here I honestly ask myself: HOW????????? How can it be that Malta didn't qualify this year?? This is such a great song and the performance was vocally AND visually flawless! I feel so sorry for Amber and Malta! :( Greetings from Greece.

***** I am Maltese myself, and I agree. Honestly, our last year's entry was nothing special. But with Amber's song this year, we had complete faith in qualifying, because she worked so hard and the song was performed brilliantly! Cannot believe she did not qualify :/
charmglamour malta last year was so horrible I really hated it. But this year, during tonight's performance, for a little moment I thought I saw a top 5 song on my TV. Amber was flawless and I don't understand why she didn't qualify....

the second semi-final was far more challenging than the first semi-final. Unfortunately Malta does not have many neighbours like other countries, but like I said, I think we really deserved to qualify for the final. But oh well, that's life. Amber is still our Warrior, stronger than ever :)

I'm not going to lie, i prefered the original song.. but now that i got to hear the full live performance it sounded amazing and it gave me goosebumps through the song! Well done Amber!!

GothicPenguin ESC has become very boring...I am Maltese and back in 2002 and 2005, when we placed second, ESC was all about the talent singers had. BUT in 2006 the story changed! ESC started to depend on the NEIGHBOURING countries and we don't have. It's a shame this years song didn't qualify..I wasn't expecting Amber to win but the song should have qualified

What really bugs me is that half of the people commenting here (cursing at how she didn't pass) didn't even vote for Malta. They just thought "oh well, I don't need to vote, it will pass". People still don't understand that they NEED to vote for a song for it to pass. Amber was the best show of the night, she had everything: pitch perfect vocals, a roaring voice and a smashing stage performance!! I'm speechless...
really really dissapointed Malta did not make it to the finals! I think this was one of the best entry Malta has had in years after Ira and Chiara. Well I guess Europe and ESC Judges what they want are copied songs and horrible voices!

I'm still shocked and angry that Malta didn't pass this year we had one of the best songs that could enter in this competition. I live in Malta but i'm Swedish, but i was really proud to live here when i saw Amber... I still can not believe she's not in the final... her performance was outstanding!!
Azerbaijani Turks I believe Malta was 2nd only to Sweden in the semi final , while watching the performance I thought it will get a great placing in the final , apparently the Eurovision was keen to set a new low this year by sending shitty songs to the final ...and keep real talent in the semi ... shame

She was my favourite from this Semi Final. The song is unique and her voice ... stunning! She did an amazing job and I feel really sorry for her, she trully deserves a place in the Final. I am surprised that she didn't make it. I voted for Amber
I dont understand why the public never pick up the phone for Malta. They always send quality acts. Even some of there highest placings are down to Juries boosting their scores.
This is the biggest joke of Eurovision ever. One of the best entries Malta have ever sent and it never even qualified.. I don’t think it’s sad that they didn’t qualify, but it’s embarrassing for Eurovision as songs as good as this don’t make it through sometimes. Amazing song, amazing vocals, inspiring ans motiviating message, captivating and stunning performance and still didn’t qualify. My winner of Eurovision 2015 !

When i listen the songs of Esc 2015,i feel like 2015 again.I can't believe that Malta didn't qualify one year ago,nice song and effects,better than 2016,underrated ! :(
Why on earth didn't this song qualify? It is official that Malta is the most underrated song of 2015 and it was a crime leaving Amber at the semi's...She had everything: vocals, nice background, fireworks .flames, but as it seems Europe didn't appreciate that! Hopefully Amber will return in the future! :(
I really feel so upset with myself but i need to say this...why this happen to me constantly? just after the contest i've realized how amazing this song is! i love it so so much and 'til now i understand the lyrics and what's behind, it's incredible how a taste for a song can change in a blink of an eye and of course so upset because she really gave everything on stage. Anyway arrgghhh!!!!

I dare to say this is probably the most shocking thing on the entire ESC, so damn unfair, once again Eurovision is so "unpredictable" Big hugs to the beautiful people from Malta, now i can't stop listening Warrior and i feel so connected with the lyrics (so deep)
For me it should be top3. Amazing song with proper performance. The staging should boost it more but still it's a terrible crime that this wasn't in top10 and heck not even in the final.
