I don't think that necessarily means she didn't love her ex - I think it more likely means she doesn't love Amber. Because even though it is a very unhealthy response, sometimes people try to deal with grief by filling the hole left by the person with whatever they can find. It's a different form of rebounding and very unhealthy, but it happens.
