I get there are people who are off worse in the heat than others (me being one of them), but she could actually work on getting used to it a bit: gentle contrast showers, regular movement, especially swimming, lighter fabrics and looser clothes, at least not having the AC on full blast 24/7, not to mention losing weight

As someone who's been in MANY toxic friendships it's not that easy to just leave sometimes. People not showing their true colors to YOU PERSONALLY until later, them using manipulative language saying things like "You wouldn't have any friends without me." "If you leave, I'll tell people about x thing." "Those people are all lying about me." "You're not good enough for anyone else." "You belong to me." or faking serious things to make you feel guilty for leaving or asking things of them. I've straight up had someone fake their dad having very progressed cancer, and thus about to pass away! For simply setting a boundary!!! People who haven't truly been in that situation act like it's WAY easier than leaving romantic relationships, but it's really not for some people.

I dont think this is orchestrated. I think Amber is reacting this way because of how much Alexis knows. And unlike her exes, she doesn't have the leverage or ability to threaten her into silence. While that is enough if a threat with her audience, imagine what damage it could do if she says the wrong thing and it gets back to Emily.
