One of my subscribers talked about using my music for some 'inner work' coming to terms with his relationship with late father.
This piece touches upon some material from 'Dad Song' which I wrote upon hearing of the death of my own father, and also revisits some rhythmic ideas from my first long Ambient Piece (Ambient Acoustic Guitar for the Soul).
This piece is in open C with an added low G
'Far There' was originally 'Farther' as in 'further' or more far, and of course 'Father'
The perfect version of this piece lies on the cutting room floor sadly as I forgot to press record on the video- I may perhaps use the audio later!
Dad Song appears as 'The Beardsell guitar my dad bought for me' on youtube and is also available on Spotify.

I accidentally uploaded the ‘raw’ version of this earlier (no reverb and me looking bleary eyed into the camera wondering where the record button had gone! Here is the actual video! I will leave the other one up for a few hours for the curious!

@@hjalteoltmann Thank you. It’s actually a steel string acoustic made by Beardsell guitars in canada- it has 7 strings and is actually very different from a gypsy guitar. I made a video about it called ‘my guitars’

What tuning do you use for these? That guitar is so beautiful love that grand auditorium body. I've been getting into fingerstyle ambient guitar as kind of a mindful meditation technique to play to myself very similarly and am loving it!
