Yuppp same I could have my one eye removed and have 0 issues I only use it if I close the other Wich is also farsided I've tried patches glasses and had surgery now 20 years old still got it
I've had this problem all my life and my vision always seemed normal to me, even when people think I'm looking behind them or to the side of them I'm really looking at them, one of my eyes only get slightly blurry when I'm not busy focusing on something
my right eye is weak af everything is blurry af, FML, left is not great either but it has to carry heavy load of work, driving at night is tough as hell, why life has to be like this man.
This is a truly dreadful disorder. If you are lucky and can catch a childs' disorder by 3 years old or earlier, you MIGHT get lucky and be able to fix it. Older than that there is still a tiny chance to get it treated before about 6 years old. Anything after that is VERY uncertain. This is sad. Herbs or nutrition supplements cannot help. Vision therapy results are not guaranteed and can take years to see any results at all. There are one-off cases where vision therapy works for a young child and even fewer cases for adults. A proper vision prescription cannot help unless the child is very very young. We will have an HIV cure before we get a cure for amblyopia.
@@verorl9072 We will have several cures for HIV coming soon. My point was that it is sad that there has not been more progress on adult Amblyopia. They have been trying to find a cure since 900 A.D.
I've never experienced and unfortunately will never experience vision from both eyes because of being born premature. I always try to explain to people my condition. This video really helps. Thanks.
My daughter has this, may I ask when/approx. age were you able to control the eye muscles? (She has devlp. delay-communication is extremely difficult for her). Any info would be appreciated.
Kinda same, I can control my weaker eye but most of the time I do it so I can see clearly, like my right eye is better than my left and if I look with both of them it’s blurry but then I “stop using” my left eye it will become clear again... so idk what I have I’m so confused I do it when I need to and I do it when I don’t notice I’m doing it
@@applsyder24 if given the choice as a child (and the eye was extremely “wall eyed” when relaxed) & surgery was an option given to correct the problem so the eyes would correct & that blurred vision wouldn’t occur (a side effect the of long term muscle self adjustment) would you want your parents to say “yes to surgery”?
I wouldn’t consider this a disease but a disorder which means something went wrong with development in that time period with the connection between eyes and brain signals. I have the condition in my left eye. Nothing to do with my eyeballs or retina but my optic nerve. I got diagnosed at 20 years old. Never knew so I guess it’s too late to return 100% vision in my eye...
@@TiffanyRusell 😂exact same situation with me. I have glasses only for my right eye lmfao my left lens is clear even tho I see super blurry with my left. Amblyopia is weird af
I’m sorry to hear that. Ignore them. You’re better than them. Keep your head held eye and try to be around supportive people who make you feel your best.
Forget those kids! You’re uniquely you! Focus on being great now so you can be better in the future. Make smart decisions and earn lots of money so you can fix that lazy eye in the future!
I can control my eye but whenever i focus about something or daydream my other eye goes from straight to left. My vision in my left eye is also much worse than the other. My right eye sees everything clearly but my left eye is so blurry....
I forgot about this but after a week or so, after commenting this i got an eye check. I have lazy eyes, my left eye is 200 while my right eye is only 50 so i got an eyeglass. He also said to use an eyepatch and keep it on for 30 min-1 hour and some eye exercise for my left eye. And since im already 14 he said it will probably take a year for my left eye to improve.
I have the same problem the only difference is that my left is perfect while my right suffers severe nearsightedness, whenever i focus or i become dazed while looking onto something my left eye tends to drift from the center to the left it looks weird lol
I don't know if I have this specifically. But, I have not lost vision in any of my eyes or whatever it claims. When I wear glasses, I use my left eye to see far and my right eye to read... it's the exact opposite when I take my glasses off. It's not just one eye... When I'm using an eye to see(left or right), the other eye turns off to the outer side. Both eyes work fine though, as any eyes with glasses can anyway. In fact, I'd say I have better peripheral vision than most people... but that's just my opinion. I also like to say I'm watching your back when people ask about it(which is very rare).
My dominant eye developed eyestrain from over 50+yrs of relying on it, to stop double vision I have to patch dominant eye and rely on the weaker wobbling eye.
My husband got a lazy left eye just recently? He is 75 years old. He wasn't born with this disability. I pray that he gets better. It upsets me to see him go through this situation as he can't drive at night because of the bright lights from incoming traffic and stop signs etc. Please pray for me that he gets better? God bless you all. 🙏🙏🙏🇦🇺💕💕💕
My husband's eye is better! He only had it for about a week or less? I wish that I knew what caused this to happen? I heard that it could possibly be a sign of a stroke but he doesn't want to believe that? He got upset at me when I said that it could be a sign of a stroke? I still question to this day what it could have been because his left eye was lazy but his right eye was okay? His eye is back to normal now. He told me that fluorescent lights can set it off? But I don't think he realized how bad it looked? He won't see the eye specialist because he is okay now? He can be very stubborn but love and care about him more than anything. Ow, I just wished that he would listen to me and still go and get a check up? 😐
I have this but one of my eyes actually twitches. If I look really *really* close when it's happening, my eye is actually rotating sideways.. It's really slight and you can't see it unless you look really close, but I can feel it twitch and it causes double vision. It started happening when I was about 17 years old. I never see any mention of an eyeball actually twitching though.
Born with this, 2 years of patching retained 60% of my vision in my left eye however I cannot read or see faces really, it's like looking through a fogged window, my right eye is strained and I get migraines.
In my case, I always use my left eye, because my right eye is hard to focus, like when I close my left eye to see things with my right eye, my brain still detects my left eye, even though my right eye has less power than my left eye.
no js to inform u use ur right eye and cover the left one bc when u use the one whos damaged you’ll train ur brain to use it (use patch!!)n make an eye exercises 💗
When my son was diagnosed that’s what they tell me he’s 6z and working on luminopia treatment. And you give me hope I hope it gets better it makes me sooo sad :(
@@nubii2009 gl for ur son. I didn't have luminopia, i had some eyepatches that I stuck onto my good eye while i played videogames so that my brain was "forced" to looking out the bad eye. My vision has gotten better and I am at the point where I can see almost everything except for words and other small details :D Although this 'worked' for me it may not work for your son because I have no idea of your situation 👍
My 89 year old father had amblyopia as a child. He wore a patch over his good eye -- but unfortunately he used to wear it when he was listening to the radio rather than doing it when he was actually using his eyes. So it was useless treatment. Over time, his bad eye just got worse and worse. He still can't see out of his bad eye. Just shapes and blurs. And his depth perception isn't good.
I was on RU-vid and some how I decided to close each eye one at a time , and I realized I see brighter from my right eye and I was scared so I searched it up
I was detected refractive amblyopia at the age of 11, i wore patch too but vision didn't improve much. Is there any cure for this at the age around 30?
Yes and no, there îs something called revitalvision, but it's very new, and won't work for everybody, and it's expensive, and there îs some neurological treatment we have în Europe, but its shit, for the moast part, get used to it, something that could fix it 100% would be revolutionary
2:04 i am 17 year old boy me (left eye) and my big brother (right eyr) have that type of problem and 2 years ago i have a feeling my vision got little blury so i went to a doctor and the said the kid can't properly see with his left eye.. And before the doctor said this to me... I years ago i thout all human eyes are like camra 1 for blur (like portrait mode) and one for focus 🙂
I have lazy eye from my birth. Now, I'm 24. My left eye doesn't work on glasses. Also my right eye have myopia & the power is -5.00. So, can surgery give me 100% full vision??
What would it be called should a person or child be affected by all forms of lazy eye? Or if they are able to shift between eyes making making it unclean which would be the true dominant,as they are switched manually or unintentionally?
I have refractive amblyopia and everyone always ask me what it’s like but bc of this I can explain it in a way. I might be getting laser eye surgery so i hope it help
Living with refractive amblyopia can be challenging, and it's not always easy to describe the experience to others. The possibility of laser eye surgery offers hope for improved vision and a chance to share your unique perspective more clearly. Best wishes on your journey toward better vision, and may it help you communicate your experience more effectively.
@otiebrown9999 Amblyopia, commonly known as "lazy eye," is typically diagnosed when there is a significant reduction in vision in one eye compared to the other. Specifically, amblyopia is characterized by a best-corrected vision of 20/40 or worse in one eye, with the other eye having normal or near-normal vision. The vision in the affected eye must be significantly reduced despite correction with glasses or contact lenses. It's crucial to have a comprehensive eye exam to determine the severity and appropriate treatment.
My son has great memory and learned to read super early. 3-4 years old doing so welll in school . He’s 6. So I can’t say he does for him! But let’s see how he does as he’s getting older and school subjects/material starts to get more complicated. I am just hoping with luminopia he can be “legally able to drive when the time comes and fix it as much as we can. It’s so heartbreaking for me :(
i never had this problem with my eyes until i turned 35 years old. my right eye is lazy now, but the eye doctors told me i was born with it............
Just an observation, I've seen a couple people say it's in their left eye and I'm only assuming they're right-handed. I'm left-handed and mine is in my right eye....I wonder if there's any correlation whatsoever to your handedness (/less dominant side of your body) or if it's just coincidental.
my right eye is weaker , when i close one eye other goes around , and vice versa ,when i open them can control both ,but when i look right left eye goes to my nose, this is big problem with social status always tryin to fit in and not looking that way
I hate my eyes so much that my right eye always bothers me. I have farsightedness yet my left eye sees better than my right eye, my right eye has always been straining w this lazy eye and also astigmatism.
Hi sir, my son has recently checkup ophthalmologist, he said that my son suffering from amblyopia, he is 5 years old , how many days cured amblyopia, please reply me sir
@Lee Loofer thank you so much for this. I got diagnosed at age 20, wondering how I lived my entire life not noticing it. I got nasty eye strain in my good right eye. Nothing wrong with my vision physically and now I know it’s neurally what’s causing my poorer vision in left eye. It’s distressing.
I have a lazy eye I can put both eyes straight but if I look a surrend way one eye will go I different way and it happens with both like my left eye can look straight and other eye dozed off or my right eye idk. Can I have surgery to fix that or surgery won't work
There is a type of surgery called strabismus surgery but that would only straighten your eye temporarily, for a minimum of two years, and then your eye would go back to how it was. Your vision cannot be corrected so no you cannot fix it with surgery.
I feel to much bad when my eye don't be in right position:(while clicking photo with friends is to much hard:(they make fun of this my lazy eye :(only lucky people have their right eye🥺......can this lazy eye be fixed??
Yes, having astigmatism and hyperopia in one eye while having 20/20 vision in the other can contribute to amblyopia, also known as "lazy eye." Amblyopia occurs when the brain favors one eye over the other, leading to reduced vision in the affected eye if left untreated. Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial to prevent long-term vision problems.
Dont use phones in darkness or quilt it increases the problem... I am searching for an resolution...my both eyes work fine,i could close any from the two and drive but not with both open...its increasing day by day ... doc say its only minute couldn't operate... some doctor says my eyes r fine..any drugs increase this problem so take care help me if anyone could
My left eye is less vibrant than my right eye and I rely on my right eye. In this video, the background is a light blue. When i used my left it look darker. If I used my right eye it's more vibrant.
Yeah. My weak eye with amblyopia has developed myopia (Nearsightedness ) over the years. My dominant eye has astigmatism and hypertropia (far sighted) . I don't know that there is a name for that per-say.
I think it could be mixed amblyopia but I’m not sure. My left eye is the amblyopic one while my right has increased stigmatism. I am long sighted in both.
My reason that my left eye weaker and my right is strong alhamdulilah, i was born premature in 7 months. But i did examination in my left eye that it has retina scarring tissue if theres surgery? for that can fix that i can probably recover my sight .
@hamzahjaani It sounds like you're dealing with amblyopia, or "lazy eye," which is made more complex by the retinal scarring in your left eye. Retinal scarring can sometimes be treated with surgery, but the success of recovering vision depends on several factors, including the extent of the scarring and how early it's addressed. It's important to consult with an ophthalmologist who specializes in retinal conditions to explore treatment options. They can assess whether surgery or other treatments could help improve your vision. Keep hope and continue seeking professional advice, as advancements in eye care are continually evolving!
At first my right eye got redness for atmost a week and then i discovered that after that my one eye becomes blurry when i see far objects with it.....what can i do to recover it please tell....
HELLO, someone please read my problem,,,Doctor say that i have 6/6 vision and according to him all thing is normal but he suggest me OCT retina eye test and also say that you do if you don't feel comfortable . I can see from both eyes normal and nothing feel but when i compare ,,,i feel brightness diffence in eye ,left eye brighter than right eye. That's why far object is more clear in my left eye in comparing to right eye . But in test 6/6 vision come .
all my life Im 72, left eye great right eye only see maybe half of a letter or number real blurry. my side vision tho is as good as my left eye, I always worry when I have to take my vision test for my drivers license.
Amblyopia, commonly known as "lazy eye," results in significantly reduced vision in one eye due to the brain favoring the other during early childhood development. While there is no specific surgical procedure to address the underlying cause of amblyopia, certain cases may involve surgical interventions if the condition is linked to structural issues like cataracts, strabismus, or a droopy eyelid (ptosis). Surgical correction of these problems can enhance the visual function of the affected eye, but comprehensive treatment often includes non-surgical approaches like patching or vision therapy to specifically target amblyopia. The success of treatment depends on factors such as age and the severity of the condition, emphasizing the importance of a thorough eye examination and consultation with an eye care professional to determine the most effective and personalized treatment plan for amblyopia.
I had a large tumor in my right eye melanoma after surgery in my good eye I have blurry and double vision at night . its now over 2 years . my left eye is blurry and more than triple vision 24 - 7 and the right melanoma eye is no vision . I had someone test my eye and is saying my left eye is lazy . I said I must have eye nerve damage.
To improve amblyopia, follow a vision therapy program with an eye specialist, ensuring consistent use of prescribed corrective lenses and eye exercises. ❤️

maxamed cabdikariim hey ,I am an optometrist.would like to inform you that with the help of vision therapy system you can enhance vision in lazy eye. Visit your nearest eye center for checkup .However , your practitioner will guide you about their process such as follow up required but chances are to improve with such advancement.
Hey, doc! I am Shafrin and from where I am the doctors I visit are not very experienced and I can't really get in contact with any professionals. that's why I need your help! Please I've been experiencing eyesight loss in my right eye (myopia) it started after I hstrained my eyes for studies. I pulled all-nighters for several days. My mom has the same kinda eye sight loss too. I have different eye shapes and some kinda black pigment is also visible in my eyes. Also, what's concerning is that my eyesight is decreasing nowadays. I would like to know what kind of disease is this and if there are any risks for me. And please give me some tips on how to help my eyes not reduce the vision power.
Just realise my left eye have strabismus.. but only when I'm trying to looking something above my head.. it's hard.. I lost focus to get the thing.. the left eye couldn't move linearly same with the right.. how could this be?
