@ and you'll still have better armor, can go hull down, and is a much better sniper. It also has a larger mag dump. Don't get me wrong, this tank ain't busted like the bourat, but it's still got a good combination of things that aren't fulfilled by any other tank at it's tier. A medium tank with an auto-reloader with workable armor, and can go hull down effectively. Not many tanks do the same thing, the only ones I can think of is something like the tier 10 lion. The next closest resemblance is the Italian heavy tanks, which is a bit of a stretch already. It still ain't amazing, it's still got less than average gun handling, and it's slow as fuck. Not to mention the huge turret ring weak spot, it isn't all good news like the bourat comparison. All in all, I'd give it a 7/10, or a 3.5/5 like what people rated it on the index.
this tank is great; enough armor to play hulldown, 360 alpha which is absolutely huge for tier 8 medium and autoreloader to top everything off so you have flexible burst option when needed. Gun handling is derpy sure, but nothing you can't fix without stabilizer and aiming unit or alternatively experimental gun handling/mobility equipment and considering you can do 1k clips it is absolutely fine.
IMO the advice given at the start of the video on how to play this tank is quite bad. You *absolutely* do not want to dump out your clip, under most circumstances. If you have a choice of dumping out a mag, don't. Just don't. Only scenario when you should is if you can take out a dangerous target, or if you're a hundred percent sure that you can reload without any interruption. Secondly, the equipment choice isn't the best. It needs every possible buff to it's gun handling, so I'd drop the vents for improved aiming. Other than that, the review is pretty on point, it has bad dpm, poor speed, and if you don't buff the gun handling, shit gun. And gold spam too. To be honest, it's one of those tanks that changes a whole bunch with more investment. With standard equipment and standard ammo and standard crew and standard consumables, it's a 3 out of 10. But if you fully trick it out, it jumps up by 5 points easily. And before anyone argue that every tank does that; that once you slap on better stuff, it becomes better (no shit captain obvious). But it is more so highly exaggerated on this tank in particular; the change on how it feels playing it before investment and after is huge. If you play it with a standard setup, it's bad. If you play it with Exp turbo/vert stabs/improved aiming, food and a good crew, it's so much better. I know, not everyone can do that, but I wanted to give some nuance, as how good it is relies heavily on how much you invest in it. As opposed to most other tanks, where it just feels like the same tank, but better. As you can tell, this tank is one of my favorites.
@@nebvbn4504 WG has altered the economy in both WOT & WOWS a number of occasions. You can still get credits, but only by doing missions, which funnels you into higher tier tanks, & also stops cohesive game play as all players concentrate on their own objectives, which can make teams lose more, so players have to play more... Despite a turnover of 219 million, their claimed profit is only 6 million (can't recall in which currency). That's not good. No wonder everything is getting more money orientated. It's ever decreasing circles.
Skill, are You proud of me ? Yesterday I went to battle with troll gun E100 on Karelia ... I mean ... Enemy BZ-176 haven't expected to meet me ... The little did he knew before the battle I've sent a spy to his garage to mount in his tanks a lot of explosives. The mechanism worked perfectly ... Whenever this guy used his boosters his tank literally vanished 🤣🤣🤣 One shot AmmoRack 🤪
@@eric-wb7gj Thank You ! 😍Although I couldn't put a replay on wot replays nor wot record bcuz the replay "broken" or whatever bullshit those mfs say. Come on, haven't even touched the replay, and can't upload it ...
I like it, it feels like a flexible medium-TD hybrid when you invest in bounty or bond IAU, Vents, Stabilizer, and a full gold loadout. Stabilizer is a must since the aim bloom is pretty bad, but the fully aimed accuracy is pretty solid tbh. It's slow as folks mention, its base reverse speed is pretty terrible, and it's really vulnerable to artillery, but unlike a lot of TDs its got a turret and some okay turret armor. DPM is pretty bad as you mentioned skill, but since it's an autoreloader I think it feels better when you fire only the top two shots in the clip. Quite a few times in this video you fired off your last shot and sat around shot 2/3 for long periods of time as a result.
You could argue that your point applies for every auto reloader. Learn to be even more patient and save your shells in this tank and you will get better results
It's an avarage, not OP not Kaku, it's a slow medium tank with paper hull and some armor on the turret, the gun it's situational, you can trade with almost every single tank in it's tier, but make the wrong movw and you die in 2 seconds flat.
I use rotation mechanism and stabs and it is kind of workable gun handling. Also the armor is not bad, atleast in equal tier or +1 matches, as long as you hide the lower plate. It feels more like heavy than a medium.
In a better version of the game AMBT would be absolutely fine and great tank, but Progetto is just better and by u saying 215 standard pen is not good at T8 u can tell where the game went last years
It's a tank that proves how broken the concept of bounty/bond equipment, and now exp equipment really is. With standard equipment it's very meeh. Add bond, bounty, exp equipment and it gets a lot better.
Skill, you're not often as wrong about the use of a tank like this. I'm not a great player, and i often get absolutely mugged in this machine, but when i have great games, it isn't playing how you were. Supporting a good team push seems to work well, trading your team mates/ saving them. The accuracy is stellar if it is FULLY aimed, and the good rounds don't feel like it till the score comes up and you remember how big those shots were😊
I like playing this tank. I find the DPM useful for my playstyle. I play it in a support role and it rarely let's me down. Mobility keeps me from overextending. I always make silver with it. Not for everyone. 😉
I really like this tank, but you need to try hard on equipment to get the gun handling to be reasonable. It has 50% more alpha than the Pregetto so some concessions had to be made. It's also pretty decent hull down when using a bit of the gun depression. My only complaint is the giant lower plate on the front >
I have love-hate relationship with this tank. Recently more on the hate side. It is super-unfriendly for beginners and even experienced players will trouble to make it works in crazy fast battles. Basically you should play with it as if it was a single-shot medium and dump full magazine only if it is life or death matter or if you are sure that battle will be longer. Digging deeper into magazine causes terrible, horrible and atrocious DPM. But given this tank's bad gun handling, when you miss first shot it is ao tempting to shot again, especially if you're trying to trade with opponents.
for me the trading is much more important, so i'd honestly waste all 3 rounds in the mag no matter what, however i have to agree with you. (ps: i don't own the tank, but i own progetto, which to me feels like a tank, that could potentionally match this one.)
@@xfrozh I have both and Progetto is simply better. It's faster, has more reliable gun, faster reload, faster interclip reload, better accuracy, gun handling and so on. The only thing AMBT has better is alpha dmg because armor-wise there is not much difference. Turret can bounce more than Progetto but it also can let in many shells which weren't supposed to penetrate. Besides, Progetto has turret more on the front of a hull than in the middle like AMBT, so the tank doesn't have to expose itself that much during peeking on the ridgelines. I enjoy AMBT, don't get me wrong, but playing it is always sweating and struggling, thinking about every shot, if it's worthy or not and so on. Progetto is much easier in that regard.
It's a large medium that's slow, horrible gun handling, blind in one eye and bad DPM. Equipement can't fix all of those issues, so you need to pick what you think is most important. I don't think I ever had a great game in it, aka playing against tier 6s. The armor means nothing against tier 9/10s, gun handling issues means you're not going to hit anything playing peekaboo and the mobility means you're not getting to key spots on time or able to shift to the next spot quick enough. Progetto 46 is so much better and fun to play.
This tanks gets weirdly polarized opinions while it's my only tier 8 to average more than 3k dpg. Don't have progetto, but I definately wouldn't swap this tank for it because its alfa makes humongous difference.4.5/5 tank for me
I have a crush for underperformed/underrated tank so this is one of those tanks. Still, I think it's a situational tank and the gun handling is not that horrible, it's average.
First battle got an M. After that, everything went to sh..t. Atm it only gathering dust in my garage. Even removed all the equip from it. 1 star from me.
I really wanted to like this tank when I got it. However, a relatively slow medium with bad gun handling is enough for me to dislike this tank and idc about it's positives.
Again controversial opinion after Lansen... But hey, its your opinion, its OK. Community said it in your list... This tank has great DPM, damage jumps like crazy with that 360 shots, stabilisation is meh but that tank simply hits. It hits shots unbelievable with that velocity, you dont even need to be fully aimed and you hit... like in your first battle... I dont know man, i am startin to feel you are not at point sometimes... Dont worry, I am good player (not good as you) and I am even longer in WOT then you. Anyways GL and HF.
The Big problem with this tank is that is not a spotter. I have 800 battles with and i am oftenly spotted without sporting, even standing behind a bush. Playing with an other auto loader, behind it is a must. You have better of course but it's a decent tank; it depends a lot of the configuration you give, whatever not a spotter tank 😊
if you get spotted without spotting anyone back, then you usually get spotted by a light with the spotting thing for bushes, which also happens to lower your camo.
Honestly it's very meh. It has darn near twice as long reload on each shell for 120 extra alpha and turret armor compared to the progetto 46. It's like comparing progetto 65 vs lion, one stands out as it is just superior and makes you feel scammed as a result of it.
i hate this tank, not only because its gun handling made my hair gray and because my dpm is useless, but also because i got it from christmas boxes instead of the BZ or anything else
