we recently had a psych patient screaming about how the ambulance was gonna crash and all that. everyone thought she was just your average psych patient until the crew got t-boned on the way to the hospital. ambulance rolled and it was honestly a miracle no one died. glad i wasn't on that call-

Sorry! But in a real code the Emt in the back will not be strapped in a seat, because he or she will be caring for the patient, like doing cpr and what about the firemen who will be helping them? Must ambulances who got hit like this, will roll over! I seen this happen in real life, while I was working as a EMT. Two of our ambulances was going to the same call, when the ambulance in front of me got hit on the side, by a women going throw a red light and it rolled over on to a lady on the side walk and killed her.

i dont know much about crash tests, but that was impressive the way the ambulance just bounced off and is barely dented with all that force

Every time I see car crash videos and ambulances are involved, I assume it’s an ambulance rushing to help someone, not rushing someone to the hospital. This gave me a whole new look on that...

I CALL THAT BULLSHIT!!! Nope when i was being taking to the hospital by Ambulance from work.. What happen a new rookie thought it would be nice to get on a forklift (He never drove one) And get a part that dispatcher asked for. And what he did was ram into the shelf's and knocked them over like domino's. I got banged up pretty dam good. And boss wanted me and 2 other's that got injured to be taking to the hospital. I was placed in the stretcher in the ambulance. And i was not secured down good in the ambulance that hold's the stretcher. And the Ambulance driver was driving without no light's or siren's. And goes through a red light. And 2 semi's nailed the Ambulance. And it sent the Ambulance flying in the air and rolling down a hill. The driver of the Ambulance did not get hurt. But just cut up from the shattered glass. And the EMT that was in the back with me he was ok.. Me on the other hand no since the Stretcher was not fastend down good. I got serious injured and here is a list of injury's 1.Busted Eye Socket caused me to go blind and lose eye. 2. Shattered Jaw caused me to have allot of teeth removed and replaced. 3. Nose broken in 2. Lucky it held up good no surgery. 4. No broken arm's or hand's. Since they was strapped down on the stretcher. 5. Seven Broken Rib's and shattered back. 6. Leg's will let's just say it's a miracle i can walk again. But with the aid of a cane. I can walk ok without it. But would need to hang on to something to keep pressure off my foot. I can drive ok. And i excerise all the time. And the doctor is happy that i am doing good. And the other worker's there good. Was stunned to see me all beat up. Was pissed when they heard what happen.I sued the company of the Ambulance Driver service. And i won a huge settlement. And allot of people in vehicle's. That had dash cam's caught the Ambulance speeding then running the light then the crash. The judge chewed out the driver and the EMT for not strapping me down. And he demanded the driver hand over his license. And the judge goes ur license has been suspended for life. And he ordered the driver to report to the police station on there charge's.The EMT was fired and he lost his EMT license and degree. I still have my job has a forklift operator and also truck driver locally. My wife and kid's and family was scared to see me when doctor's told them how bad i was and how many body part's was broken. I was told get Social Security. Nope i am not lazy like fat ass people. I been working since i was a kid. And i am 43 year's old. I handed document's to SSI and they told me that if i get SSI i would get $500.00 a month. And that i would have to report my earning's. I asked for the paper work back. And said with $500.00 a month i would have to move sell my vehicle's if i had to live off that. And i said hell if i was 800 pound's i bet u would give me $2,550.00 that is how much the guy across the street get's a month. And he also get's $500.00 in food stamp's. And the SSI worker said we don't choose how much people get i said ur a liar and i bet u give ur family free shit and i left. Sure enough that case worker was fired and arrested along with several family member's and friend's. He got them allot in SSI by filing out false document's.

Hmmm...yeah...guess it kinda looks like that. Won't get too excited or reassured that my safety is paramount. This is, by far, not a scientific test. No. This ambulance safety thing is a big problem that's going to take a whole bunch of us to facilitate change. Will probably have to start with leaders or outright regulations to be set up to force their hand! Paramedic transport is complex and multidisciplinary- will require attention to: Ergonomic research Biomechanical automotive safety Biohazad/chemical research Paramedic practice Regulations and standards Fleet safety program Driver training PPE ! Paramedic policies Public safety Risk management Epidemiological data collection. Didn't really see that in this dramatic video. Let's not be sheep. I believe the latest statistic is 1 paramedic every week will continue to die or suffer critical injury in North America as a result of crashes until the above is addressed.

I survived a crash a few months ago. When being transported to the hospital it felt like that every tiny jump on the road was another crash on my body. So, that ambulance might be well, but not so sure about the patient
