GTA 4 has the best ambush mission. The tension, the smile on Dimitri, the revealing of Bulgarin, Little Jacob’s reaction, Niko narrowly escaping having his throat silt, the fight sequence, god, that’s a pretty good betrayal mission.

GTA SA has a lot more ambushes. The first ambush is in the very first mission where they did a drive by and destroyed Smoke's car, so you had to return home on bikes. Another ambush is when the Ballas interrupted OG Loc's party and invaded Grove Street. In one of the Woozie's missions the game literally says the da nang boys are trying to ambush you to destroy the car you have to bring back. There's a mission for the casino where you attack a mafia factory, and at the end a mafia car will drive into the factory and try to kill you.

I used Automatic Explosive Shotgun to complete that mission in TBoGT. It is 2nd hardest mission after that Sexy Time mission given by Yusuf Amir. It took me 1 week just to complete Sexy Time
