Thanks for the video mate. Quick, concise and to the point. It's an upgrade from my 1060 and I want to play games over the holidays. I managed to nab one at RRP and have already noticed stores jumping the prices up in Australia. That's just how the climate is unfortunately.
So do you thlnk it is worth to clange a 1060 6Gb with this rx6600? I am an ocasional gamer and I use the pc for video conversion. Right now there is an offer in my country.
@@Seujiro from my personal experience I don't see a big difference between my old 1060 6gb and a RX6600. You won't see that much of an increase in performance.
@@loolou thanks for your answer. So, which one de you think is the Next gpu over the 1060 with a noticeable increase? Thanks for answer me, because is nice un know the perspective of someone who más in a similar situation.
What kind of deal did you make, guys? Here, in Brazil, I sold my RX 580 for 455 dollars and bought an RX 6600 for 660 dollars. I think that it was a great deal.
@@BrunoDarcoletoMalavolta i got it on ebay sending offers to like 10-20 guys, then i saw one who had this gpu at 610, offered him 500 and he took it, the 20 bucks was the shipping
First 3 launched (pieces not models :)))) at 500 euros here, out of stock after 10 seconds... and now its 700+ euros :)))) Its even more expensive than some 6600XT
@@bfonsecat Very well, I've been able to max out most titles, including far cry 6 at 1080 and the new saints row Averaging 60-100fps across the board. Sounds mad, but ive had to turn a few settings off on Fortnite to avoid stuttering or ripping. But still impressed.
Yhh Tom I'm looking into getting a new entry level card for my dad's pc to replace the 1050Ti that is there, and I've just seen the pricing for RX6600 over Overclockers, and good God, you say here that you expect the price around the £300... but they are charging £429 for that same model you are reviewing ... that's beyond ridiculous
The value proposition sucks. Jesus. Just a hair better than a 5600xt... I know you said you didn't want to compare previous gen cards, but AMD nVidia are just milking this at this point.
Well, probably the 5600Xt was launched this year would be 400$+ I'm pretty sure they are getting their margins, but so is everyone else in their supply chain. This is the best card you can buy ATM for 1080p for the price.
no one has a problem with this video card, that even at low speeds, the noise of the fans is heard like a rustle, or is this the norm for this video card?
Im in the process of building my first gaming pc and i was wondering if should go with the radeon rx 6600 by powercolor instead of the msi or the asus version of the card. By going with powercolor i will save an extra 50$, I was wondering if that is a good deal. Is this version in any way worse than the other ones I've mentioned if so I whould really appreciate a response.
Thanks for the vid. Is the Fighter card a noisy card? I prefer very quiet hardware, and I have trouble finding much information on this line. My issue is, that I would like to move back into my Node 304, but that blasted case is limited to 45 mm (officially) gpu width. So far the Sapphire 6600 xt seems to be the only that is both slim and quiet - from what I can gather.
Its not very quiet but it can definitely be tuned to pretty close to that. The cooler is OK but for near silence it would need a bigger finstack and more expensive fans
How can your RX 6600 get 57 fps in Total War Warhammer II, did you use the Battle benchmark with Ultra settings or High ? My 6600 XT can barley get to 59 fps in that test.
in the written review (on your website) you said that the rx 6600 is very close in perf. to an rtx 2060(maybe you meant the rtx 2060 super?) but that is not true it's closer to the perf. of an 2060super/2070 it is also visible from your own benchmark charts that the rx 6600 is the faster card than the rtx 2060
Yeah, here we are in Dec, and Newegg has the list price as $490. Can only get it with a combo. Still better than paying $1k+ for a card, and they had fuck all for green cards.
Hi, i wait your comments about powercolor. İ will make a decide to buy a gpu between Sapphire - Xfx and powercolor and powercolor is cheaper than others. İ wait your comments and advices, specially temperature of this card. See you.
Any one know the correct thickness thermal pads for this card? My card is turning 2 years old this month so even though no signs of issues are presenting themselves a good cleaning should be performed. Of course new thermal paste and IF needed new pads. I see everyone saying measure them. That won't work for me since I need zero down time since I have no backup meaning having replacement pads on hand BEFORE disassembly is key.
Nice video, i liked it. Do you think it is worth to change my gtx 1060 6gb with this rx6600? I am an ocasional gamer and I use tle Pc mostly to convert video with Handbrake.
I mean considering that technology gets better between the years and that a 1060 is from 2016 while a rx 6600 from 2021, of course the rx is going to be better
The Powercolor Fighter is in stock on Overclockers UK at £429. Surely that puts a very different complexion on this review? Whoever sent you this card totally misled you about the price. The other 6600 they have in stock is £450. We are not living in an MSRP market.
Currently the cheapest rx6600 in my place @ $222, should i get this card or find another brand? a slightly more expensive are sapphire pulse, msi mech 2x, and asrock challenger
@@fabiodorazio7123 yes I can play 1080p with ultra settings on a lot of games, I usually play rainbow six siege, beamng drive, forza horizon 5 and gta 5 and I get over 80 fps on all of them
@@elwalter4437 I see. I looked it up on their website and it does have bigger fans. The Fighter only has 2x90mm fans for cooling w/ no backplate, while the Hellhound has larger 2x100mm fans and a metal backplate. Now I'm considering the Hellhound instead even if it's a little more expensive.
it mines 29 eth with 37w power consumption :) which is fantastic. 960 core 650 vdd 650 vddci 1100mvdd mem 950 with 50 fan and 40degree celsius gpu, 64 mem temp
G'day Sam, on the TechPowerUp GPU Database GTX1070Ti sits at RX5600XT so use that as a comparison for performance, which from memory of the Steve reviews I watched on Hardware Unboxed & GN that would be very similar to the 1070Ti
@@slim420MM I know. They kill me with that bullshit. They have to return some of the shit they review but a large part they get to keep. Then they be out here like "i feel you pain" and I'm like, "no the fuck you don't".
Yeah just went to the store and bought it. Only 450. After using it I really cannot imagine needing anything more. I play on high on all my games and never really get below 135 FPS.
