There are many variations of this laptop. The one in the video is 5400 rpm. It should run valorant I just don’t know how good. It’s not really a gaming laptop. Only way to find out is to test valorant on it. I do want to upgrade it but there are a lot of gaming requests at stock without upgrades

@@Frost-ng4hi I wish laptops would stop the trend of having only one ram slot nowadays. Seems to be getting more common. This lenovo was 340 bucks so not bad at all. I am working on comparing the AMD athlon silver vs the amd ryzen 3 3200u. Should have a video this weekend. It's been tricky comparing them because CPU benchmark scores can vary. Even just changing the thermal paste can affect results. I'm still learning as I go along and the comments have been helpful thinking of ideas.
What is the battery life like? Like medium task (2-3 chrome tabs, spotify, Microsoft word) or like how long continuous video streaming such as Netflix or RU-vid. Can you please be honest because I find it impossible to believe the manufacturers. Thank you for the video. And the answer in advanced!
I got to experiment more. Battery says 6.5 hours but I doubt it. Im thinking regular power mode (not energy saver) 1-3 hours of casual use like music, work chrome tabs). I’m basing thing on my previous experience with lenovo laptops. Also this is a 14 inch with a small battery.

I bought Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ada05 Ryzen 3 4gb ram and 512gb SSD so far, walang issue, mabilis sya, good for online class, nagagamit ko Yung Adobe Photoshop ng smooth at nakakapag edit din ako ng mga vids. Hehehe
To be honest im totally fine with tn displays. To me having 1080p is more important. Ips screens have better viewing angles but I hardly notice it to be honest. Just my opinion. Others really want ips displays but I think they look at the laptop from various angles
@@whattmeter frankly I've never used tn panel, i have ips panel laptop. But i saw some videos about tn panels' view angles (which is bad). That's why I'm concerned a little. However considering your comment, i don't have to worry about tn panels so much :)
I think it depends too on the refresh rate. You could also look at the tn display on laptops in stores like at best buy or walmart to see if you like it before buying a laptop. Also tn displays are a big upgrade from CRT monitors so that's probably why I'm ok with it. If you really game a lot and need quick reflexes ips can make a difference. I'm a casual user so even at work I use tn mostly because they are cheaper.

Unfortunately I would not use this for those programs because of the 5400 rpm mechanical hard drive. There are many versions of this laptop, i would get something with better specs because autocad and visual studio are resource intensive programs
Depends which model, I recommend getting something with more ram, cpu, and bigger ssd since cad programs require more storage and more resource intensive. Just my opinion though
I've had this laptop for about a week, and its battery life is very short. From 100% battery doing simple video viewing, it goes down by half in slightly over an hour. Is this normal for this laptop?
@@whattmeter Nah, running it in power saving mode produces these sort of results. Also, I have many pending windows updates that may contribute to the reason its battery life isn’t fully optimised, but I’ll have to see how that goes.

You can check your task manager > performance > memory. This laptop has 4gb ram built into the motherboard. Depends on where you buy it from. Some included an extra 4gb ram stick making the ram 8gb ram total

@@whattmeter Well, this laptop only has one input for ssd, therefore, to install it I had to remove the one that came from the factory, when I turned on the laptop I did it using a USB memory, to be able to install Windows and at the time it asks you where you want install it, no SSD appears and in the BIOS it appears that it has 0gb of storage.

By any chance when you went to windows 10 install, advanced settings > it showed up as unallocated space? It should have worked but idk a lot things could affect it
my personal experience testing each on games and basic use, I don't notice much of a difference. On paper though they both have the same clock speed of 2.6 GHz. the 3250U came out a few months later than the 3200U so the 3250u is a newer model. If the laptop you have is the same as the one on the video I would just get a laptop bag that supports 14 inch laptops. You could also get a basic laptop sleeve if you already have a laptop bag. There are many options as most laptop bags can support at least 15 inch laptops
Top of the laptop is plastic with a paint job of brushed aluminum apparently. Bottom of the laptop is plastic. It was hard to tell with the paint job, but I think this laptop is all plastic. Will double check.

This can handle roblox no problem but yeah I’ll make a video give me a couple of days. Also i want to make sure the top is really aluminum and not just painted finish like aluminum. I’ll keep you posted. It could be hard plastic.
I got this laptop for $340 bucks but the 1 TB hard drive is only 5400 rpm. there are many variations to this laptop with many difference prices. In my opinion if you compare this stock to the asus vivo book 15 which is more than 400 bucks, the asus vivo book 15 is better. Not sure which model you are referring to for the asus and what cpu it has but the asus has the Faster ssd. This laptop has a smaller screen. Both the lenovo and asus only have one ram slot. Although I will double check if you can add an m.2 ssd to this lenovo. Both have 8gb ram, but the base speed for the cpu of this lenovo ideapad is faster than the asus with the intel i3 I reviewed recently. The trackpad on lenovo's arent the best. I am familiar with lenovo's and some people don't like the trackpad. I use lenovo for work and long hours and I really like it, but I am used to using budget laptops. I see budget laptops as machine's I don't have to worry about too much since they weren't too expensive when I got it.
