She was on-line but could not hear the marker beacon vessel.She over-shot by 75-275 miles and entered the ocean.The empty tanks would have held buoyancy until sharks.The suspected island had over 200 coconut trees and coves teaming with fish,crab.A amateur would of survived decade while our navy searched and searched and searched.The plane entered the ocean as she over shot and ran dry of fuel.Fund me a vessel and I would search North East of Phoenix islands (maybe up to 400 km NE).It is still there beneath the waves..
