Great review. I love the quality of the Nouvo, the induction cooktop, cassette toilet and NO propane! I hope they make this in a non high version. We’re all short so height isn’t an issue for us and we don’t have a need for the drop down bed as cool as it looks.
I do love the details, like the backsplash (do B vans typically come with backsplashes?) and as y’all mentioned, rounded, non bruising corners. The decor is more residential than rv’ish. How refreshing! Beautiful while functional rig. Ready to see where y’all take it next week!
Love it! For me I’m a bit claustrophobic having a small window to look out of, maybe either side, when in the bunk would help. Possibly one that would open for ventilation. (Back doors I’d prefer to keep closed while sleeping for security sake). PS Hey Noovo, Las Vegas resident here available to test that next prototype 😉
Constructive feedback. Add about 6 inches for bed length and give the main bed ability to lower another foot. Both the ladder is bad and head room when sitting up with the bed. It’s more important for main users comfort than anything else. Also table may look much nicer when it’s not a prototype, but the table looks like I took it from my barn. Lowers the quality of the whole look of the van. Fridge door open other way and removable u at the back. Maybe flip down and removable pad. Thanks for the video! Looks very nice overall.
Would love to see a skylight for the bed as well as have the tv able to be used while in bed. Looks like it is set up only for the lounge area. Bathroom placed on a drawer slide to allow for more shower space. The height will be an issue on certain roadways and tunnels??
Wow very intrigued, especially as a full timer currently in a Rise 18m who is looking for more space and sick to death of making up the bed. My only suggestion to Noovo as an average height woman is to take out one of the drawers under the fridge to bring the microwave down. Even with the movable step that's too high for petite people.
Very interesting concept to make it taller to accommodate the bed lift. That is really the big innovation to me. Embassy is innovative too and they just launched a b+. I think this one is very very interesting for exactly the reason Bob mentioned. No issue with the bed.
That is an absolutely awesome/beautiful/functional van. Question, how do we get the specs / features on the specific chassis? How comfortable and adjustable is the driver’s seat for leaning back some (Not sleeping but for long-drives I need to lean back for a bit, sit straight, and in between). If I had one item to change I think I would request removing the cabinet directly behind the driver or if you are gaining a bit of space from the revision of the shower put it there for the driver to have adjustment room. Will these be in dealerships or only available directly? And will you be replacing “Mr. Lemon” with one of these?
The gaps on the side of the bed when lowered would bother me, like I think a leg would easily slip down the edge. Also, how does it sleep more than 2? It looks like the bed drops down too far for someone else to sleep in the lower area. The storage capacity is super limited.
Can a person come in and get a more customized van? I want to downsize to a van in a few years but I want my own layout. For instance I want a fixed bed that lifts on a hinge so a can have cubbies for clothes under it. I do not want or need all the extra seating area or a huge bed, I would rather have other options rather than a huge seating area. I do not like the toilet inside the shower nor do I want to take it in and out…needs to be in a fixed enclosed area away from shower. Can it be diesel fuel with all electric? So much I want to ask…
I would ask them. I know they have a NOOVO lite that’s different than this one and a Noovo Pop. I’m not sure if they customize or how much they customize apart from their designs but very good questions. There website is noovolife.com 😃
I can already see burn injuries happening while trying to prop yourself up using the hot stove counter while climbing onto the van. The ladder rungs are too far spaced out; potential cause for a misstep and ankle fracture from a leg slipping through and getting caught/trapped between the rungs. You would also need a ladder rail to hold onto for support and stability. So far, the only appealing thing about this prototype is the height clearance. That lowering/descending bed is overkill and a waste of electric power. It is not necessary when you can already convert the dinette into a sleeping area. Keep it simple. The outside body is made of 20g /22g aluminum. I would have constructed the inside out of a synthetic foam mold covered with fiberglass cloth, smooth sanded, and painted with a protective, all weather coating, making it much lighter than plastics and wood, yet firm, sturdy, and strong.
Guys, we are currently renting a road surfer RV in France. Let me tell you something, the Europeans know how to make RV’s. . I feel really bad for our own domestic RV manufacturers. Quality not the same. Of course, my opinion.
I like idea of bathroom sink. Do not like brushing teeth or washing hands after using bathroom in kitchen sink. Van is beautiful and great use of space.
Noovovans, this is going to be a great addition to the Class B market. We currently have the new RAM Promaster chassis now and LOVE it. The Noovo has lots of storage in kitchen, great frig, love the bed that lowers, big water tank, great battery system, awning windows are awesome, sink is deep. I'd use a stool in lieu of that ladder. I'd suggest a roll down screen instead of that slider screen. While attractive, that type does not hold up well. Would suggest flipping with window shades over so screen is on top and privacy shade on bottom. Great work!
Please do not advertise it as the first 7 ft. interior. I am currently an owner of an almost identical layout with the Euro loft bed!!!! It's a 2020 Regency Explore SPT. It has a smaller bathroom to accommodate a forward-facing bench seat with two seat belts behind the driver. This is superb when taking extra adults who like to look out the front and be part of the conversation; there are seat belts in back on the couch also (so sleeps four but carries six).
Can you say wind sail. My sprinter van high top was almost blown over in Montana. I get that people like my self 6’3” need head room. I think it’s dangerous personally. Love the layout though. I’m not trying to be a hater, I’m speaking from experience. Love your show.
It's all great except the couch that seats 6-8. We don't entertain guests but could use clear access to the back doors that would enable us to load things into the center aisle space that would be created by removing the middle of the "U."
For real tho. This build is gorgeous but... reducing some downstairs seating for a small wardrobe and pantry would be A+ and actually useful. I've never seen folks clamoring to sleep 4 people or dine 6 people in a camper van
I would like screen windows available for the drop down bed. We’d not be comfortable sleeping with the back door open in many circumstances. Maybe if the bed dropped down further, the existing windows would work to get a cross breeze and the tv could be accessed.
We love our Entegra Ethos. We have the same dash setup as that one. This is the first setup in a true B that you’ve toured that would entice me to consider trading up. The layout is great. Now, if we could get this in AWD or 4x4, my wife is going to get tired of hearing about it.😊
🚨👏👏.... Congratulations....You just embarrassed the whole American Class B manufacturing companies who have been here for years ..... This company has delivered neat work on the wiring & quality control & materials....You can actually see the dedication, commitment towards a product the people will love...Great job.... The question is -- I see high demand coming, can they turn out the orders that are on the way quick enough....I wish them best of luck....They might just be seeing me soon ..
I kinda went sour faced at 12:12 when I heard the dreaded "CT" words ! Casette Toilets are No Bueno for my wife - at 63 years old, she would have a hard time lifting/carrying/dumping 30lbs of poop while i do all the rest of the camp clean-up. We have a good routine with our current truck-camper RV but are looking at a van down the road when we are in our 70s. The rest of the van is great.
The inferno toilets might work in this situation better. Also, the microwave should have a infrared oven combo for baking. Whoever is sleeping in the bottom couch bed isn't gonna have much head room, but for small children it's probably fine. Which is what I believe they were thinking about, children.
I would have the fridge door open toward the kitchen prep area with the hinges on the right. I agree with a couple other comments: no need for a sink in the bathroom; I would rather have the space, and would prefer either a portable cooktop to have the option of cooktop or counter space, or maybe a cover for the cooktop to have counter space and save drawer space. Nice layout, and appears to be quality work. Thank you for the tour!
The shower door looks a little janky and see through. Needs some modification… The Frig and freezer doors should open towards the kitchen (right hand swing).
Yeah - no sink needed in a bathroom when the kitchen sink is 3 feet away. Certainly a storage bin for toothbrush stuff in the bathroom, to easily carry. But no sink!!
At 6’4 I need a taller ceiling height and with that comes a feeling of more interior space, not so cramped.. this looks spacious and luxurious without sacrificing functionality and adding comfort. Great job Noovo
When they have completed the changeover from prototype to production models, i hope that they also include cab window screens that totally black out the cab area and/or a flexible insulated partition between the cab and the rest of the van that also creates a totally blacked out capability for privacy. The shower screen is open at the bottom when pulled out and needs to be in a tighter track so shower water won't splash under the screen and onto the kitchen floor area. They will also need to be careful where they mount the sink in the shower area. Beautiful prototype van and excellent video as always!
I have a class c that I'd like to down size to a van promaster. I just want my build to be very functional without all the flair! I cant see paying $178K... I can do without all the bells and whistles. I've seen it done here on RU-vid. I do seem to recall theirs came in at under 60K..... And it's a very clean build. Paying any price over 90K is a waist of your hard earned money!!!!
Dovetail drawers too. Looks high end like a Leisure travel van. I am 5'8 so I don't need the church ceiling 😜 Does this van/layout only come in that highest roof? I love the price point, very competitive under 200k, considering the high quality. How long?
So psyched that you guys are reviewing the Plus! Fell in love with it earlier this week (online of course) and being 6'4" makes this a dream rig for me. I'm off to buy lottery tickets!
I saw two other things that they might wish to change: 1. When the bed is in the up position, the foot of the bedding is unsightly. They could put a lightweight pull-down shade across the end of that space to hide the bed while not in use. 2. A counter extender could be put on the other side of the stovetop to raise or lower while cooking for more counter space.
I love the super high top. Too bad Amazon is likely buying them all up. That is a beautiful build and it looks like a lot of overall attention has been taken on all points. Nice Job! I would see if a NovaCool dual compressor refer/freezer (Huge) could be optioned as well as a dry flush toilet, where there are several brands. Consider reviewing an Embassy RV in Elkhart, IN. Zero wood builds on all three manufacturer vans. See Terry Minix V.P. He likely would give a factory tour.
Thank you, Hillary, Bob and Noovo. What a phenomenal intersection of design, innovation, quality and common sense. If executed well, this could not only raise the roof, but also "raise the bar" on Class B vanlife! 😉 You guys are the perfect people to put this through it's paces. Can't wait for the next chapter of vandrama! 😅 ❤🙏👍🏼😊🤗
Nice Van. I am team black tank all the way though. I would also like to thank Bob for the idea to put an Aluminess Box on the back of my Nova. Although I did create at least 5 new cuss words during the mounting process. I studied your video hard since there isn't much out there showing how to mount it it and when it came, they had changed the mount.....
I really love this van. I agree the ladder needs to be revamped. I have super bad knees and that just wouldn’t work. Wider steps that ramp out further would be so much better. Old folks like me, need stability. I am a big fan of cassette toilets. One recommendation would be to make a larger grab handle to get in to the van. The spare tire is absolutely a star feature. This van is a win for sure.
What kind of roll tests are performed on these? I find travel vans to rock/tip easy and wonder if this taller one would be prone to tipping over on the slightest rough road within it's ability.
It looks like an amazing design… I really like the U-shaped lounge and the great windows. While the height allows for that drop down bed, I am not as tall as you, so would love that floor plan with a pop-top bed for a lower roof line, but the fixed factory roof is probably a good thing long-term.
I like the looks of this van. I would prefer the induction cook be able to just sit on the counter so you could move it when prepping to cook. Does the bed have a manual override option in case you can't raise or lower it? Those swivel seats looked like the easiest to turn around of any I have seen. I guess now Bob has to get a second job so you guys can afford to purchase this. 🤣 Maybe they should make a Vancaskey addition and call it the Noovo-Vancaskey
I like the floor plan esdpecially for tall people. But do you see see yourselves owning another front wheel drive. Maybe, you can get a deal on the proto type.
crazy that ladder doesn't just come out of the bottom of the bed and fold down... i wish they could put the bathroom in the back and the bed and seats in the front
Guys we mentioned you and we put down our deposit and sold our Thor tellaro! Love everything about it top notch review. Only thing I do wish is they had that extending counter or extra option for table for front cab. And yes the fridge door opening on the left side.
You guys said a lot of good things about this new van, but the question is will you buy it? You said you were looking for a van with more space and not too pricey.
I was loving it until the cassette toilet 👎👎 after dealing with one in our boating years it's a big NOPE black tanks for the win. I know you will say no number 2 but we say paying this much for something we're using it. That's what's so great about traveling in a rv ya don't have to deal with nasty public restrooms. But love the floor plan 👍👍👍
This van is awesome!! My suggestion would be to have an option to bring the bed down to the level in the prototype and all the way down to the lounge, with a ladder that would be flexible for both heights. Especially for us Gen Xers, nice to have a shorter trip down to the bathroom. Also, any chance or a skylight in the bathroom?? The details in this van are just right. Love the curves, deep sink, fridge at proper height (and separate freezer!). Bonne chance Noovo! You have a great product. Will have a look a you when we are in the market next year.
I like the lifting bed platform but i’m curious why there is a second bed option below. It doesn’t look like you could use both at the same time (guests) can you? Is the upper height adjustable? Can you lower the bed enough that you don’t even need the ladder? Love the 400 watts of solar, that’s actually a useful amount. From what i’ve read, the Promaster has a nine speed transmission but gears eight and nine are locked out, you can’t use them. Spare tire underneath is a bonus, Nevada, where we live, has some very harsh, lonely roads without cell coverage and having a spare would give peace of mind. We ordered our Coachmen Nova Promaster with the LED headlights, once you experience LED headlights everything else is like using a flashlight from the 1970’s. Anyway thanks guys for sharing your observations
