Dude I couldn't agree with you more.👏 this is exactly what is Wrong with our Society today. we have Everything Backwards in the way we are Living. this is one of the main reasons why I don't enjoy Driving much. because I always feel Trapped and Caged In my Car while the World outside goes on without me. I prefer to Ride my Bike as much as I can and feel waaay more Free and Connected to the World. but all I see is Cars Everywhere with little People Interaction. People really Live in their Own little Bubbles. we should have Community Centers for Art, Science, Nature, Sports etc. all open every day and Free for Everyone. kind of like Libraries where people can go Learn, Explore, Grow, Connect, Play etc. to foster Healthier Bodies, Minds and Souls giving rise to Overall Healthier Communities, Societies. but it's like we don't even know how to be Humans anymore. our Capitalist System has simply Destroyed Us in so many ways. so to me, that should be the Central Focus on how to Change, Rebuild and Transform into a Healthier and Sane Society. 🙏

The fact of the matter is socialism is what you're not doing by just elucidating the truth, although the necessity is to get people together and go to those parks, although that might be 6 to 10 people just discussing what the parks are when they get there! There's also the fact that nearly anything you can do outside of your home costs money, therefore, unless you have spending money, you can't go anywhere. Also, most people spend so much time working to pay their bills that they don't have free time. i forgot to watch the rest of this, and i've just done it now. that is a fair judgement. i actually feel like this interview was kinda disappointing. i listened to maybe about 10 chapo episodes around 5 years ago, thought they were decent but then it just descended into demsoc kinda stuff. i like felix's twitter though. but honestly, it felt like he clearly lives in some kind of bubble from the real world. way too naive about fascism in america, about identity politics and about democrats, but was talking as if he was a healthy skeptic on it. you don't need a massive armed militia in the US to be fascist, most wars abroad nowadays are focused on things like drone warfare. you just need a minority of people working on those things and a smaller militia, and a bunch of americans who don't care enough about what's happening and/or are fine with it as it benefits them wealth wise. nothing against the guy at all, just thought he clearly was out of his depth on these topics but doesn't really know it. i couldn't really tell much of a difference between him and a random "left" lib in this. i thought rania clearly understood more, but was nice enough or maybe didn't grill enough on some of his answers for why he thought that way/was blase about it - i understand that would have been awkward though. like when she brought up the hate against any form of "identity politics" from people who say class only matters, i thought she was completely right. there is a pretty well known pipeline of socialists in early days, seeing things in black and white and believing that only economic class matters and other forms of oppression don't. then if you're still a socialist after 5 years, a lot of people grow out of that and realise that different forms of oppression such as race/gender are completely interlinked with class and a part of it, and have even class characterists of their own that are backed by statistics. so class matters the most, but there are more complex forms of class that are amplified with someone's gender/race etc. police killings against black people of the same economic class as themselves or a higher economic class compared to white people of the same class. sexual assualt against women of all economic classes. so many things that affect and amplify class oppression, and a black and white view is just not reflective of statistics. we need to be conscious of these class conflicts, as without using material analysis of the subtle racism in our society, a fight towards an actual classless society can't be achieved. there are many layers and ways that are interlinked statistically, the simplified view is actually a reactionary protest in people who still have a bit of learning to do - i was one of them about 6 years ago. i feel people who ignore this are more likely to fall victim to the "patriotic socialist/nazbol" shite
